You went on the industry and media day - it is intentionally a small gathering of people so you can analyze and/or take pictures of the cars without a crowd.  But yes, the main attractions are dwindling.

Unpopular opinion, but the body appears to be really well done. I would just take the opportunity to do a 5 speed and 2ZZ, or V6 swap and ditch the SMT altogether.

Actually, the concept of having a common app(s) to control all common car functions is an interesting one. Imagine not having to re-learn a car’s control, or program the settings every 2-3 years when your lease is up, or between rentals.

The RedBull TV app on Roku or Firestick (and others?) has the old FIA style highlights from each day there’s a rally event... similar to what was on Speedvision back in the day (I miss it too).

Directional wheels done right requires 2 castings, vs companies cheaping-out and using 1 casting, which results in the asymmetry.

I had a friendly argument with a coworker while crossing a road. He said, you should just start walking and the cars will stop. I said, that’s foolish to assume that they see you, their brakes work, and there’s enough time for them to stop. He said, that’s what insurance and lawsuits are for, and I had to say, even

OEM’s: More of this please... but don’t decontent the car either.

Crack pipe price due to the repaint... it does look like a nice starter CX bike though. Here’s what the Team Saturn livery looked like in 97/98.

His particular job is to stir the pot however Kinja wants, in any/all directions. They get away with it because it’s a “blog”. To your point, it’s ironic because the point of stirring in all directions is to grow their base, which therefore supports capitalism.

Reverse: RIP Speedvision - so much better than even SPEED channel, which then morphed into the nearly NASCAR-only SPEED station. They aired SCCA runoffs, Porsche Cup, and other sports car racing up to F1 and WRC. Such a good combo in my GT playing days in the early 00's.

Need for Speed High Stakes had an P2P online version, which was choppy at best on dial-up. No ghost car up/download.

They’re called “hole fillers” and used to simulate electrical load while the mules are being road tested. They’re basically trailer lamps while the real lamps undergo full physical, electrical, and regulatory validation.

Thank you for writing a good morning shift today

You’re comparing a NA RWD car to a FWD turbo car... apples to oranges.  Also, if you overlook the part of the conversation about torque, then you don’t understand what you’re talking about when it comes to pulling out of a slow-speed turn; the low-end torque is a big deal.  You can compare a high revving 4 cyl with

Tesla hasn’t been around for as long as its competitors, which have been subject to numerous lawsuits, which, over time, has made them much more conservative with what they release.  They’ll get their turn soon enough.

5th Gear: How I imagine under-sea mining to go:

Welcome to the world of 90's JDM cars... everything used to be a very low price 5-10 years ago, but now they are not, thanks to the 25 year rule.
