Chapelle’s special is proprietary. Netflix owns it. They seem to like keeping it available.

Yeah, because one thing is “comedy” and the other is proprietary, confidential information you’re contractually obligated not to disclose and could probably reasonably infer that, should you share it, you won’t have that job very long.

Y’all did a slideshow for this? Christ...

Watched this last night and if you’re a fan of, as Dowd states, mid-budget 90s action crime thrillers, this is for you! Is it a Great Film? No. Is it a good time? Absolutely.

This looks... horrendous!

I mean... which time?

Ooh, this should be fun. I’d go...

Ahh good catch. I misread!

This is a pretty huge get for Criterion Channel. Awesome.

It’s mostly the use of the word “regular” here that’s hugely off-putting.

I love Laura Dern but it’s pretty clearly a “career win.”

Insecure returns on April 14.

“combines the easy listening of a podcast with the serialization of a TV series”

It’s sort of reflective of how they treated her while she was alive. In that ending sequence, nobody looks more haunted than she does. Pretty damning stuff.

Apart from everything else in this really wonderful finale, I loved that Eileen’s film is an homage to Barbara Loden’s Wanda.

Michael Richards would probably tell you that when it comes to dealing with hecklers, all bets are not, in fact, off.

How has this been going on for 10 fucking years?

Lesley Manville’s a treasure and I’m so glad she’s getting more and more high profile work.

I think that, in itself, is sort of the point. She doesn’t really need to be a “deep” or “complex” character. She was a real person, and Tarantino doesn’t pretend to know her. He just lets her be.

And now everything’s fine!
