Ignoring cost and availability, because those shouldn’t be a concern, it seems like invasiveness is the determining factor. Side effects are a crap shoot, anything can give bad side effects (Although this is mainly becasue I don’t feel like looking up the data to see the rate of side effects).

That’s a good point about cost. I live in a civilized country where that isn’t a concern. I would be interested in hearing about reasons why the pill is the only option for some women. Because outside of condoms, the pill is one of the worst options available.

It really can be that big a feature. It can completely transform how you use the device. It has for me. You simply never have to worry about the battery. If you can squeeze in just a couple of minutes, you have another 12 hours charge.

16 hours isn’t ‘lovable adherence to efficiency’. It is ‘fucking terrible battery life’. My Note 4 has a 3220mAh battery (40% larger) and regularly lasts 28-32 hours. (75-100% longer)

Go on non-shitty birth control? The patch, implant, IUD, etc. There are so many options these days that are much closer to “set it and forget it”, with less side effects, and with an extra couple orders of magnitude more efficacy than the pill it is a wonder the pill is still used at all.

What happens is when the pen is inserted the wrong way, it gets stuck in the stylus port. With a lot of elbow grease, you are able to take the pen back out eventually but the smartphone will no longer be able to recognize when the S-Pen is in the port.
