I’m 6’8”, 275 lbs, and I wouldn’t say I never lean back. Occasionally there is a shorter person behind me, with plenty of room in front of their knees, and I will ask if it is OK if I lean a little. I never lean all the way back and if they ask me not to lean I do not, I will also confirm the lean is OK for them

woah, SAMEZIES! We are so similar

Yeah. I never ever ever lean back. Wouldn’t want someone to do it to me, so I don’t do it to them.

They’re not really a thing in Australia.

Except Bill Cosby has, throughout his career, tied his personal life into his career. Much of his standup is about his family. While he is not Cliff Huxtable, the Huxtables have the same number of children (four girls, one boy) that the Cosbys had. Clair Huxtable has the same middle and maiden name as Camille Cosby

I love the open chair at the end of the line. It’s silently implying so many things. Because you KNOW there are more out there. And more women that will be raped by others. It's almost an open invitation to other victims to feel like they could step up and join those women who were able to come forward.

I live in Maine and have actually been to this diner. I think the important thing to know about Marcy’s is that it really is a hole-in-the-wall. There are maybe 5 tables and one counter that might seat a dozen. It is tiny and cramped and hot (because the griddle is 3 feet from the counter), but the food is delicious

I guess you are a classless individual who hasn’t studied art. A lot of the greatest classical Western are nudes of women and men.

I get it now. This whole situation has left me sore and chafed

I think he was making a pun between the KY standing for Kentucky, and the KY Jelly lubricant. I don't think that reflexive KY bashing so much as reflexive KY punning. It reminds me of the girl I saw sporting the KY-GIRL license plate. I was confused, was she advertising for lubricant, proud of vaginal dryness, letting

Huh, you don’t usually see KY preventing gay couples from coming together.

It’s not a reasonable accommodation to build an entire website because one guy doesn’t want to do his job.

Kinja’d!

Noah means that the business owners went out of their way to post the couple’s private information (home address, telephone, etc) on their personal facebook for purposes of getting others to harrass them. More than anything I think that’s what got them the $135,000 in the first place. It showed that they were refusing

There’s a difference between refusing to sponsor a message and refusing to serve a customer. Additionally, there’s a difference between refusing to serve a customer and refusing to serve an entire demographic of customers.

I prefer YoSaffBridge’s Bible to that one.

If $135,000 seems like a lot just for emotional damages, it is worth noting that the baker did not just refuse them service. She also published the couple’s names and home address on the Internet and encouraged people to harass them. So there was much more emotional damage than just refusing them service.

It’s funny how the conservatives are all about “states’ rights” until they don’t like the law the state made. Then all of a sudden they’re all about the “constitution.”

I’ve begun to notice that a lot of people railing against this ruling seem to have a fucked up mental picture of a “gay wedding cake” being covered in Gay Pride flags and dicks/vaginas and stuff.

That buzzing you hear is the sound of 10,000,000 conservatives getting outrage boners.
