(Warning: about to turn into a Francis who desperately needs to lighten up.)

For once, John Oliver's show misses the larger point: How is Sports Illustrated still a thing?

Seahawks fans were quoted as saying this was the biggest loss in the franchises' 10 year history.

Since it's really not very funny when people struggle with substance abuse problems, I will say...get well and good luck, sir.

When it gets below 10%, they get hired by ESPN.

I recommend that any person who does analysis or predictions in the media (politics, sports, Hollywood rumors, whatever) should have a permanent tally of what they got right or wrong. This should be displayed by their name any time they make an appearance or are referenced. Once they fall below 50%, they are labeled

You clearly know nothing about the FA Cup.

This is one of those sloppy, drunken fights in which nobody comes out looking tough or cool, and ends with most of the participants exhausting themselves into submission. Bad job, everyone.

I feel like I know you from somewhere...

And conservative bigots naturally assume that hispanics aren't assimilating because they "tout" their heritage. There are plenty of Latinos in the armed forces (since WWII), in Law Enforcement, Politics, etc...We'll be the majority in CA soon, if we're not already. I'd say we're pretty damn assimilated asshole. You

Ha. Nick you described my drinking. I hid my bottle in the truck so my wife wouldn't find it but otherwise it's the same story. Congrats on your Sobriety. I had to beat my brains in a little longer but I finally threw up a white flag last year. If I do what I need to do I'll have 1 year sober in 3 weeks.

Congrats on your anniversary.

well said, nick. I just "celebrated" 10 months without a drink on 1/4. you are so right that the admission that I'm an alcoholic had to come from me. I sincerely hope that Johnny M. is able to get the help he needs in whatever form works for him. Tough subject, but there are many, many good comments here!

"Excuse me, Johnny. Skip Bayless is on the phone, he'd like to talk to you about your lifestyle choices."

I might disagree with you on if Skip B. set him back with one of his blowhard comments, but I appreciate you speaking out and sharing your story. I wish, coming from my own place, that Bayless had stopped at "problem with alcohol" because that a-word brings a lot of baggage and opinions with it.

Thank you for this. I don't know you, but know that I am proud of you.

I'm nine and a half years sober as of six days ago. I quit drinking when I was 25. A lot of people said the same things you just said here. "Questionable maturity" "Likes to party like normal people his age".

Clear as day PI. But Jim Caldwell needs to go for it on 4th and 1 there. He got what he deserved on the shanked punt AND Dallas converting 4th and 6 on the next drive.

It wasn't picked up on by TMZ, but other news outlets reported that Nash tore both is quads while taking this photo

I just came twice!
