Nick Has an Exocet

I worked with a guy (engineer) who has owned a couple and manual swapped one. Apparently it was quite good.

First ever comment on my youtube was “you should grow your sideburns”. I think YouTube is broken.

Alanis - come drive my Exocet on the street. It’s 80% of that terrifying feeling at 1/8th the price with the added danger of street legality.

The problem with anything electric is really price. You can buy an ultra cheap dirt bike or a really expensive electric one.

Alice’s for lunch? I’m in if you are.

Within the first 5 minutes of getting on a flight last week, the person in front of me (while on the ground) quickly threw their seat back while I was getting something from my bag - smashing me in the head with the in-seat tv screen. It was lovely. Seat recline on airline seats should be electric and slow.

I feel like this car (and Project 7) is Jaguar at it’s best - showing absolutely no restraint. I just wish the base XE had 20% more of the Project 8 in it.

Don’t they have the money already anyways? It was my understanding that you had to pay in full to have the car in the production queue. The orders should probably be filled in a first-come-first-serve basis. If you filled based entire on margin, there would be cars almost never produced. From Tesla’s FAQ (which, btw,

Why does Chris Harris always walk like a man who needs to start practicing yoga?

Awesome! I should be there.

Previously dazzling” are words no one has ever used about an Elon Musk presentation. He needs media training worse than anyone outside of the US president.

Actually, yes. I would also argue that the 2.5 should probably go away and be replaced with 1.4T or 1.6T.

I could be wrong, but I think Buick’s top volume is all 4 cyl.

I’m not sure why they haven’t done a European partnership to bring rebadged Citroen dS models to the US. They’re basically the European Buick and aren’t sold here.

There are essentially two tests here with 1 score - which is crazy. There should be two scores: a “Safe to you” and a “Safe to everyone else”. Anything less than that is ridiculous. Also, when is mass going to calculate into this equation? These tests let 5000-6000 lb bricks like Tesla’s coast right through. Tesla

:)

In this case, speed and accuracy are the same. The GPS isn’t so much reading speed as it reading change in location from the last location (taken every 0.05 seconds).

I don’t really understand why Hyundai doesn’t just bring over the N version for the US. The i30 is the Elantra GT. Hell, they could keep the i30N name for that specific model as a “imported from Europe” thing - that would be kind of awesome.
