Weather looks perfect this weekend so were going to give it a shot for a couple of nights. Taking the little trailer this weekend so even if its windy we wont have to see a tent get shredded by high winds like we have seen in the past out there.

I went w/an exped this year for car camping and its been a revelation and your thermarest looks similar. Worth the money!

Have you ever had a night in the desert that wasnt windy? Maybe cause i do the majority of my desert time in the Spring but its windy as hell every single time. Ill be in the Needles area this weekend so i will see what the Fall is like.

Thanks for the review. Ive been looking at this exact tent. I think in the end im leaning towards just getting a more car-centric tent and a cot vs this thing. When im not taking my teardrop trailer i use my old backpacking tent which is, well, a backpacking tent. Not exactly very comfy. If i get a tent i can stand up

There are no hotels where i usually go. Ive spent about 25 nights out in desert/mountains the last few months with 2 more ocming this weekend. There aint no hotels out there.

3rd gear - wtf is up w/this ridiculous non-name name? Is it the Toyota Beserk? The name and the yoke are fucking stupid. Otherwise, the specs look just fine and i guess this will sell well.

<insert hot dog meme guy here> Fucking cops are all worthless at best and actively harmful at worst.

Youre correct. I couldnt finish it either. Just utter garbage.

That wagon looks fucking incredible! This is a sweet car that ill never drive and only likely see when i go back to Denver. Hopefully itll be in one of these cool colors.

Wow, shots fired! I downshift and floor my 2008 Outback and can keep a solid 75 leaving denver on i70 and going up/over Vail and whatnot in order to make passes. However, i most certainly get the hell over when not passing or if faster vehicles are coming up cause obviously my Subee is slow.

I lived in Spokane for 2 years and went down to Hood River and Portland and then hiked in and around the Bend area and the weather was just the fucking worst. We love a lot about the PNW but we will never live there again. Visits only!

A turbo adds huge functionality at altitude. Not everyone lives at sea level.

Jesus..talk about prophetic! Thats a hell of comment.

Feel the same. I am starting to see a lot of them and i am just meh towards them. But their performance is truly outstanding.

Amazing how that works, right? Its always socialism for the rich and bootstrap, dog eat dog capitalism for the rest of us.

A lot of it is that when Covid hit airlines fired/furloughed thousands and thousands of ppl and then these same airlines took many billions in free federal money and just pocketed it.

ah, thank you! Ive been in that general area about 5x and i have only ever seen Hood once because the weather was a hate crime every time ive been there. :)

Mercedes, excellent review! I love to visit that part of the country. Mt Hood ftw.

I occasionally see them down some decent (by my standards) 4x4 roads. Some friends just bought a Revel Sprinter van and its pretty sweet. I think the 4x4 is more just because they can afford it more than they really need it.
