This is an excellent idea all around. Tesla has the most name recognition and most widespread/effective charging network. Normies who dont know shit about shit have heard about Tesla and this is a good way of getting ppl into EVs.

where do i say this is a radical concept? im merely saying that as someone who has very little experience with the dealer purchase model i might not have thought about this even though i do this for other large purchases. its a blind spot for me that no longer exists. 

i mean, sure, when i buy homes there is a signed, agreed upon contract. But, as i mentioned, i havent bought a car from a dealer in 20 years. Cars are one of the big ticket items that many ppl are involved in buying/selling outside the dealership model.

I honestly dont think its common knowledge! The last time i bought from a dealer was 2002 and i bought the cheapest damn daily driver i could find at the time cause i was poor and desperate for long term reliable transportation.

tbf, its a real issue. Occupant safety goes up in these giant trucks and pedestrian/cyclist safety goes down. Its an ever escalating fatal cycle.

Bob the builder probably writes everything off and is in the 85th or higher percentile of income and is doing just fine.
