i mean most of this is wrong. This isnt remotely like the bubble of 10-12 years ago. Mortgage underwriting is still pretty strict and while i hate blackstone and private equity more than most at the moment they are a bit player in housing.

Eh, this isn’t that helpful. In Colorado (or other hot market) appraisal is getting waived and ppl have to promise to finance X ant even if underwriting thinks the sales price is crazy.
I saw my first polestar 2 in the flesh this past weekend and it was a disappointment in terms of looks. It was borderline hideous. Might be an excellent vehicle but id struggle to get past the looks.
1st gear - i own a 2015 nissan and i have had 2 sentra’s over the years that were great daily drivers because they were bulletproof and i was poor. My 2015 xterra has also been excellent so far even though i take it regularly into the backcountry and tow w/it. So..im pro Nissan.
Agreed. Hatch or die.
ok, i guess? We have to start somewhere, no? Transportation, as a whole (which is an absurdly huge category) is near 1/3 of all emissions so EVs are a (temp) part of this transition.
eh, yeah, just run a cable. This is dumb but whatever..its temp and its working for you so no point in changing it now i guess.
Good review of a good little car, thank you. Im impressed w/how much of your bike stuff fit into it. Thats pretty damn useful.
Its all relative my friend! My dd is a 13 year old Subee Outback thats lucky, at this point, to have ~150hp. 300hp would seem like a rocket ship to me.
Best of luck. You were one of the modestly sane ones, seemingly.
dont worry, unless you live to be vrey, very, very old there will never be actual autonomous driving on the regular. Its not happening.
100% agree. I had that example in mind actually.
If you go by the writers here on jalopnik there is literally nothing better than always picking the cheapest route on all things.
Your last sentence is the wild one.
300hp is the correct number of horses. This would be fun and fine.
Thats a good way to look at it. Instead of spending 120k on a Range Rover, spend half that on a Telluride and call it good.
Agreed, its definitely a nice vehicle. To my surprise i see them making inroads into the fancy mountain towns out here in CO. Kia must be getting buyers who would previously have never dreamt of stepping foot in a Kia dealership.
Kyree, you are always a font of sanity and useful information on this forum. Really have no idea what youre doing here. :)
down payments exist
People fucking love these things. Even where i live where there are nothing but brodozers and Rubicons on 35s there are a lot of these Kia/Hyundai SUVs.
