The problem with the ever escalating war of 4x4s is that teh trails are getting torn up. Things 8-10 years ago a careful driver in a subee could get to (depending on altitude) now probably needs a 4x4 and 4x4 trails from 8-10 years ago now might need a spotter and/or youll definitely scrape.

I will say that i had to upgrade from my Subaru cause i was consistently causing damage trying to get to trailheads at altitude here in Colorado. That was my main priority in buying a 4x4 and its been great cause i can now get to places that would wreck my daily driver.

Well it never tracked my gsr so I can't speak to it there but as far as practicality goes it's hard to beat the gsr. I was homeless for a summer when I owned that car and I was able to sleep in it pretty well and carry around my clothes. So that's pretty practical :)
