As a Canuck I’ve literally never heard a single person bash universal health care. Not one. Sure, I’ve heard people bitch about this or that small part of it (why do we have to get our health cards renewed now? Why can’t we fast track med-school equivalency testing for immigrant doctors?) but every single one of us

Over/under on whether Ted Cruz has a single clue who Page is: place your bets.

Well, what we’re seeing right now, we’re seeing Bible-believing Christians being persecuted for living according to their faith

Not irrational. And not “also”. The 10 year old is a child and the fetus is a fetus.

This fucker’s kids strangle puppies for kicks. His sole redeeming characteristic is his mortality.

His rationale for such a decision is two-fold Huckabee explained, it protects both fetus and mother: “There are two victims. One is the child; the other is that birth mother who often will go through extraordinary guilt years later when she begins to think through what happened — with the baby, with her.

Now playing

I would not. Reminds me of this. And I don’t blame the guy one bit.

Meth-Americans?

Jagger? Snow thank you!

Is there a useful shorthand for white folks with low education levels and predilections toward...antisocial behaviors (driving Hummers or “rollin’ coal” lifted diesel pickups, firearms worship, etc.) that doesn’t have the nasty historical connotations of “white trash?”

Bronx Mowgli? From the Concrete Jungle Book?

Leaving aside why you think you “gotta say” that, would you not describe Edwin Moses or Carl Lewis as an Olympic champion today? I think it is, in fact, a “perma-title” - if you win a gold medal and they put you on the Wheaties box and all of the other trappings of being a major Olympic star, you carry that for life,

Ya’ll are totally forgetting about Dr. Renee Richards, who sued US Tennis Association to be allowed to play as a woman after 1975 reassignment surgery, and won. She was an amazing champion for transsexual rights from the athletic community: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ren%C3%A9…

I think that's what's been so powerful about all of this. Even Khloes cringe worthy reactions and anger were ok because everything was so honest and they've set up a safe space for everyone. And of course Caitlyn's grace and understanding that it might be difficult for her family, has been really powerful too.

I was so impressed by her. She was so honest about the confusion and grief and her questions, but it was clear she is doing her best to be loving and supportive.

For all you assholes, and there are lots of you, saying you can’t get behind this because you think Cait and the Kardashians are just doing this for publicity, go fuck yourselves. Maybe she is. Who cares? That’s not the point.

She’s been famous since the 70s. I think you have a warped perception of time.

She’s an Olympic gold medalist and was on the Wheaties box forever, this isn’t her “15 minutes”

In the 70’s and 80’s? It was a common occurrence according to everyone familiar with the era.
