My problem with TLJ is this: If you sit down and watch episode 6, 7 and 8 all in a row, episode 8 is jarringly cynical. It does not fit the tone or spirit of the first two. IMO. I totally enjoyed it as a stand alone film, but I just don’t think it “works” in the Star Wars universe.
