god I came here to post that. I still re-watch it from time to time...

    #math

Military kid. Saw the whole spectrum of schools/towns growing up. Can confirm: curriculums can get suspiciously fluid if you cast a wide enough net.

There’s also a matter of scale. A US spatula might be a couple bucks more—hell, even at double the cost, it’s still what, eight bucks?—but for more expensive goods the extra percentages can really add up.

Plus one for “boomer logic,” though

(Fun fact: Whenever we’re critical of Tesla we’re either accused of being “shorts”, or pawns for Big Oil, which sees a sometimes-struggling electric car company with less than 2 percent of U.S. market share as an existential threat. Now here’s a Big Oil country potentially taking a big stake in Tesla.)

Tired of sticking your keys in the fridge? Constantly starting fires after forgetting to take them out of the microwave? Who isn’t!

Jet fuel can’t melt steel-belted radials

    *screams in manufacturing*

a few molds and some plastic to do it... then great. Cheap and easy.

    (I’m sorry)

    COTD: “Your Move” edition

Normally I’m the guy who’s all “police need deescalation training,” but....

I dunno, I think this “internet” thing is going to stick around

Okay I know this is really stupid but at thumbnail scale I swear I thought the netflix coming/going logo thing was a white power symbol. Not sure which one and I didn’t particularly want to fall down that google hole but I swear I’ve seen a black/white/red cross somewhere in the news lately.
