The basis for the pop culture obsession in Ready Player One is not nostalgia. It is because of a specific set of interests held by the creator of the game so that they can try and win his treasure hunt. Therefore they are limited to the time period which he was interested in.
And, don’t forget: The older the candidate, the less likely they are to understand technology, which is a pretty important point going forward.
He IS too old. The Democratic old guard needs to let in more young blood. Schumer is 67, Pelosi is 77, so is Biden. Compare that with the Republicans: Ryan is 48, Pence is 58. Yes, Trump is an old guy, but the Republicans have a young guard in charge, why don’t younger Democrats step up?
