I want to see what GM brings to the table with the Lyriq. It should also hit that $60k mark (on the low end) and could be quick with a dual-motor setup.

I would expect Ford body, suspension, and fit & finish to come out far ahead of Tesla, but we’re also talking about a brand new type of powertrain architecture for Ford. A post-Tesla BEV architecture is not all that comparable to a C-Max, as cool as those were.

Great diagram! On the circles near Ann Arbor, they have arrows printed on signs at every entrance. Cuts down on confusion and is great for teaching best practices for other circles.

I’m kinda here for this no-brand, two-door SUV... Remember the Mini Cooper Paceman? Oooo, or the Land Rover Evoque coupe?!

Are there any other vehicles with a DSG and 5,000 lbs towing capacity? I wonder how the DSG will perform vs. a typical torque converter automatic.

Would it be reasonable to compare this to a BMW i3? Is it luxurious/special enough for that?

I love the looks and the idea, but I wonder how the cost will compare to a gas-powered Grom. When you’re already getting 120+ mpg the case for paying a premium for electric is diminished.

I’m starting to think this whole fad is cursed...

Cool to see the Telluride and Palisade break into this list! Tellurides are selling like hotcakes in my area.

Did Shelby ever consider other roadsters as the basis of the Cobra? I wonder why he went with the AC. Was there a similar donor body for the Shelby Daytona Coupe?

I do enjoy the i3 interior. The mixed materials looked and felt great. My beef with BMW interiors on their regular models is button overload. Way too many buttons on the steering wheels and by the shifters. Some buttons (especially for HVAC) are good, but they go way overboard.

That’s a refreshingly simple BMW interior design.

This is just the distraction I needed to continue not thinking about that goddamn Z3 top...

The fragile plastic rear window on our BMW Z3 project car has developed a two foot long tear. You’re supposed to be able to easily remove the window with a zipper and replace it, but after-market replacement tops do not include the zipper. So the whole top must be replaced.

I thought maybe they had a stand-in for the epilogue. It totally didn’t look like Batfleck to me either.

Yeah, I don’t really get this move... There are less dense urban areas where this would make more sense. I’d definitely check out the showroom if they put one in downtown or midtown Detroit though.

I lost a 2006 Acura TSX in the 2014 Detroit floods, while I was in it. I was on my way to pick up a foster dog from Madison Heights and had never noticed the slight negative grade in the access road to the shelter. Well, I noticed, but by then it was too late and water started to pour over the sills. I had to bail out

My personal favorite part was the revelation that OP could buy their husband a few packs of Guinness on the cheap if they only went and spent $15 on more tomatoes. But also that you would need to pre-load the cash back offer from Kroger before heading to the store.

Maybe the current Lexus LS?

That’s a good experience, I just did the timing chain on a Honda D16 over the weekend. That crank bolt sounded like a gunshot when it broke loose!
