Haha all of those things would concern me if I owned that model. I’d even be scared of the Audi V6 engines they wedge in there. The EA888 Gen 3 in my S3 does spark concerns about carbon buildup (going to tackle that this Summer), and a crappy PCV system that causes issues on the track. But fortunately this engine is

I actually thought they were all Honda V6 engines, but upon reviewing the Wiki apparently that’s only after 2004. Bizarre!

I love Detroit style pizza, but I’ve never heard of Grandma style. Is there much of a difference between the two?

The current Mazda system is similar to the older Audi system (before they went all touchscreen) and I think its the best solution. The click wheel in my S3 is perfect for me, and coupled with voice commands (“call Brett”) it works great.

Recently picked up a 2000 Z3 2.3i with only 75k miles for $4k! Fixing it up for a friend’s parents, they wanted something for weekend cruises, autocross, and some light track duty.

I love to see affordable performance CUVs on the way in the US. Its a segment of the market that is currently only available in premium brands.

Seems like someone wants cake, but is also complaining about all the sugar and flour. I guess the solution is to find a 15 year old car with low miles on Craiglist.

I was wondering that too... doesn’t the EA888 redline around 7000?

That’s a great idea, would up the sporty factor a bit.

I’d want something very comfortable and quiet for that much time in the car, so my first thought was Toyota Avalon. Doesn’t bring much excitement with it though.

We called this “side cup” and as an adult in my 30s I now insist on this style at most social gatherings.

I think I know the owner of the T in the picture. Totally a stand-up guy, awesome to see him appreciated.

Rooting for you and Detroit, Erin!

Some of the biggest hurdles in accelerating electrification are producing EVs that people actually want to drive, and converting people who “wouldn’t be caught dead in a Prius” to EV drivers. The Hummer is definitely a silly vehicle, but it achieves both of these goals.

I’ve heard about some college campuses doing this in the US. Very cool that they’re testing an entire city using this method.

40% weight increase is really burying the lede. Seems like a non-starter for motorsports unless it can match the weight of CF in non-structural components.

I bought a USB mic to use with Windows 10 a few months ago and the generic drivers make the mic very quiet. I had to install some additional software to boost mic levels. Apparently this is a common issue, so buyer beware unless someone knows of a good workaround.

I don’t hate the Trailblazer, but I do hate that extremely lazy engine cover.

That’s a really great point. I come across a ton of motorcycles like this. They look BEAUTIFUL in the classifieds, but then I think about what a pain in the ass they would be to ride and how they really just exist to attract attention while cruising. I’d love to own a piece of art like that, but I’d spend more time
