My 2015 S3 has the same feature. You can write on the click knob. It works fine, except you need to write the German numberal for “1", which is like an upside-down “V”. Otherwise it inputs an “L”.

Isn’t CUE fully touch screen? What’s the knob for? It would be great if Cadillac goes away from full touch screen and moves to a knob like Mazda or BMW (and formerly Audi).

With these touchscreens for climate control, why haven’t they added the ability to store presets like the stereo? Auto never seems to do exactly what I want, so this seems like a no-brainer feature.
