I caught this run live and his entire personality during the run was a huge red flag. Constantly spouting about being a god gamer, and how god gamers don’t use controllers. Thought he was a real piece of work even before this. Not at all surprised he turned out to be a fraud too.

Maybe not misleading, but I bet dollars to donuts it’s not spelled right. There’s no way it wasn’t supposed to be “Ruin” your wallet. I mean Diablo’s the lord of ruin!

A content creator spending thousands buying gems I worry less about, large streamers will make more from viewers while opening them than the gems cost. But I feel for any typical player that gets wrapped up in it and starts spending beyond their means to be competitive at pvp on a pretty lackluster mobile game.

Question, are the gems necessary?  I have been playing for a couple of days with all the legendary gears.  I had not participated in any PvP so far so I don’t see those gems being necessary.  However, the articles like this make it sound like it’s something I need, so have I been playing it wrong?

Jesus Christ. Just don’t play this fucking game! It’s that simple! I understand that folks love Diablo and just want to play Diablo but...this is clearly a grift. Complaining about it being a grift, and continuing to play it (and more importantly spend money on it) anyways, just makes you a mark.

The fact that you think this is entirely made up of young white men shows how narrow a focus you’ve got regarding this.

I personally am not a fan but when every post in regards to his movies have the same tone it gets dry.

This is a smart move. It’s like picking a car—manual (classic) or automatic (modern). If I may extend the driving analogy a little further, it’s nice to have an on-ramp for new (or old) causal players. This makes me excited because the game could be more accessible to my own young kids this way.

The Modern input style is hardly a cheat, since it prevents you from doing certain kinds of movements/tech that you’ll need beyond beginner level. So its just like training wheels; it makes it easier to get started, but it eventually puts you at a disadvantage until you switch.

1. Dont call it a cheat mode.
2. Granblue Fantasy Versus already had this. DNF Duel will also have this IIRC. Its a cool new thing and Im glad its here, but lets not act like SF6 invented it.
