I agree with your take. This is largely why “people who do the actual work” need to work with “people who engage with the community” to ensure that appropriate messages are created.

Man.

100% agree. The way Gamers give, uh, “feedback” can read a little hostile sometimes and I can see how a human dev on the receiving end of it might react in a human way. Not to say it’s okay, but I’m inclined to forgive a one-time incident. The community reaction to that patch has been completely insane and out of

Devs didnt lie or say anything wrong.

The dev totally didn’t say it the right way but he has a point. The fucking whiners about a balance patch in this game are insufferable. Its been out for like two weeks. Its not like they took away some weapon after two years. Of course they are gonna have to fix some shit once the players get their hands on it.

So what?

I’ve played it five times, including runs on both Tactician and Honour mode. I played it at launch, and then through several patches. Other than some performance issues that were resolved over time, and a brief save bug that required waiting for a patch to access recent saves, I never encountered any game breaking

Oh, sure. I wouldn’t say it should be taken as a given that it is inevitable. But I’m just using the words from this article:

Yeah right now it seems like companies say “inevitable” whenever something is pathetically not ready for prime time. The robotic voices still sound creepy (there’s no emotion) and they’re just kind of jabbering at each other meaninglessly

I saw someone make an excellent point that the fundamental issue with the AI generated dialogue is that it lacks intent. Like an author when writing those kinds of scenes has a sense of context and how those interactions are supposed to contribute to the larger whole, even more so if the NPC has meaning for the plot.

They've already said they're working on new IP. In this age where everyone complains about remakes and remasters I don't see why BB is treated as an exception.

I'm in the U.K. This still has the unpleasant whiff of money about it.

Man I am SO glad that I’m slow at games, thus I’m still finishing Starfield and haven’t jumped back into cyberpunk yet. But now I’ll be able to get the 2.0 stuff, the dlc, and these latest updates when I finally do that! Honestly most excited about the boss fight improvements. Smasher was a pushover in my playthrough

“If we continue to coalesce around the four or five genres, then we won’t get the new players because those people have already said we’re not interested in your genres,” Layden said. “Don’t kid yourself that someone who’s said ‘no’ to Call of Duty for the last 15 years is going to start suddenly saying ‘yes’ to Call

Dragon Ball started out as a whimsical action/adventure manga with tons of gag elements to it. That’s where its roots are.

What you read doesn’t change what was written.

That’s too bad. I expected to enjoy this a lot and Lies of P a little.

He wasn't complaining though at all. Not even sure how you got that read from that statement.

Such a non-story. Square Enix just confirmed that a character’s name is pronounced exactly how everyone has been pronouncing it from day 1.
