It’s like he read the 11 first words of your comment and stopped there;
He thought you believed that if a game is playable from start to finish, then that’s enough to be good (or something?)

I’m betting on Yoshi-P and Soken.
Man, how cool would be it be for them to highlight obscure espers/eikons/summons or create new ones. It’s kinda sad... FF6 has like 27 or something
Dude, they said played “significant amount of time”. He didn’t say he “skipped” anything. And even if he did, wtf man? Why would you go on this strange journey to attempt to prove that he lied (something you can’t even prove anyway)?
So, let’s entertain the idea of having played 6 and 12 and 14 only. If you’re a North…
6 came out as 3 in North America, so if you played final fantasy before FF7 came out, huge chance you played 6 (or 1 or 4)
Not that much of a far stretch here, considering most friends I have (early 30s) who plays JRPGs have played ff6 before 7.
I find it odd that you think ff6 and 9 don’t deserve to be on the cool kid…
The idea that some people are unable to see the appeal of great co-op in a game like this is beyond my understanding, really.
They’re beautiful games that deserve to be experienced with friends
Just the fact that you can’t mount or effectively jump in Souls is worth a name change or at least a re-branding of some sort, imo... You can easily go from Dark Souls to Elden Ring, but it might not work so well the other way around. It’s a bit like when Assassin’s Creed when full RPG/open world, they kept the name…
Bloodborne (and Sekiro) definitely benefits from being smaller and more focused. They are -fantastic- games! Also, I think you’ll like Elden Ring a lot.
You can get in your opponent’s head with feints and stuff, with the tools you’re given in the game/sport. Generic psychological assault isn’t nice at all, nor impressive, nor excusable.
Same here. Honestly, having it as a mod or even an official downloadable update/mod is the best of both world imo
Forced? I don’t think a team would put this insane amount of work into choregraphing those fights so you can see their tells and prepare yourself. It’s a good idea to ask for help or cheese when you’re not having fun, but to say that they force you into it seems short-sighted to me when you consider all that…
It’s simply different; Bloodborne’s a bit faster paced and “less RPG”, imo
I find Lady Maria to be more impressive and varied in her combos. Malenia is easily staggered and very weak for frost/fire/bleed; a fast bleed build can rip through her! Not saying it’s easy, but considering I 3-shot Malenia while knowing…
Surprisingly not shitty. You can move pretty quickly while crouched and as long as your in a blind spot they will not detect you, even if you hug them to backstab.
Definitely keep going without reading much if you’re ok with that. It’s such a wholesome experience.
The cool thing about going blind is that you can’t get frustrated about missing stuff because you’re simply unaware of its existence. Everything becomes a surprise
You’re my god damn hero for writing such a simple, concise, enlightening and relevant comment
I definitely don’t think George did a lot, as you say. He gave them the outline of a sandbox and then they did whatever they wanted with it, or something like that.
I assume it’s similar to a concept art, except now it was a “concept backstory” or w/e we want to call that
I’d probably have a similar opinions to you, but Miyazaki did mention how much they were inspired by George’s work for Elden Ring.
“George Martin himself was very open to us prioritizing the game systems and leaving out anything we didn’t want to explore – but it ended up not being like that. It ended up being a huge…
It’s a vertical slice, meaning it’s mainly them having the “base” to make the stuff work and show it. So, function over form. It’d be weird of them to have put energy on facial expressions and animations at this point
Avoiding Elden Ring spoilers in the next 3 months is gonna be like avoiding politics during covid
6ish open-world zones with a hub in the middle, of what I understand. Definitely not like an Ubisoft or Skyrim game, I would say. There are many dungeons too!
Might be directly related to the multiplayer aspect of it; It will work differently than in their other games so I’m assuming they might have misprepared for it
