Some of those that work forces…

The mods make me think it hasn’t been treated very carefully.

No, it’s actually manual only.

I think quality is going to be a bigger issue than pricing frankly. They have decent enough economies of scale and can sell their cars at a reasonable price. They’re also still in a good spot considering efficiency and range for money.

I think your definition of “mass production” is a bit iffy considering the current chip shortage. There is little chance any new truck, let alone electric, will be immediately available in the next year or so.

Mescaline and Everclear sounds like a miserable, miserable night.

I think calling people that pointed out the media coverage was focusing on the explosion, not the landing “minions of Elon” is a bit rude. Yes, the guy claiming there wasn’t an explosion is obviously wrong, but the other comments seem pretty reasonable.

Are you trying to say that you deserve to be ran over if you block a road? If there is prosecution for blocking a road, it needs to be done by a jury, not by someone running them over. Dying for that is obviously not a reasonable punishment.

Yeah, you’re right. That’s what I tried to say with “truly life-threatening”, but maybe that didn't come across quite right, sorry.

Isn’t self defence in a truly life-threatening situation legal already anyways?

Yeah, although I don’t think your examples are huge sales hits in the States though. They’re certainly more profitable than small hatchbacks, but the “go big or go home” paradigm is still very strong.

This is a bit of survivorship bias though. Many of those have certainly died over time.

The difference between this and the Cybertruck, the Semi or autonomous vehicles is that if they can make it, it will likely be a successful product. I doubt they’ll give up on something that has a high potential to be a money maker. Battery swapping didn’t have that.

How could I forget the Gremlin? There is just a a weird charm about those cars, so much character.

I don’t know about the rest of the car, but look at those seats! I love the wacky 90s upholstery and this “Mexican blanket” style is very charming.

Yeah, that wasn’t much of a looker, while also being aggressively bland.

I can see the Aztek becoming collectible at some point. It was shit enough to get a lot of them scrapped, but like many polarising designs, it might become sought after at some point. Edsels, the Pacer or even the Trabant comes to mind.

I think you might underestimate how small (and slow) these are. The American market doesn’t just want crossovers, but large and decently powerful ones too.

I think something can be bad and iconic though.

Yah, the Eclipse looks much more like an Aztek.
