Cinemax's Quarry. Awesome TV. Eh, but then I'd probably hate that everyone liked it.

So Pratt is basically Dennis Reynolds. Jen has to have sex with him, because of the implication. If it works on a boat, it works just as well in space.

One of the great low rent aspects of the movie is that Gene Hackman calls the villain Nucular Man the whole time. Either nobody dared correct him or nobody gave a shit.

Not "hate" exactly, but - Jurassic Park. I was a teenager so I was into this shit, but I came out of it thinking…that was it? I remember it being the first time a hugely hyped summer blockbuster had been a letdown. I had read the book beforehand so I was also thinking where was this cool scene, and that cool scene?

Her last two movies were Pixels and The Best of me (A Nicholas Sparks adaptation!), so isn't this an upward step?

Hell or high water, Midnight Special, Arrival, Batman vs Superman

I wanted to love it but for me Blue Ruin was so much better. Still, a solid 'B'.

I kinda love Batman vs Superman. It's a mess, for sure, and could have easily been 2 hours, but for me, a glorious mess. The first half is pretty meh but when we get to the last 45 minutes for the Batman, er, vs Superman fight, the Arkham City style warehouse scene and the Doomsday brawl, I love it!

Well there's always the 'put her on your dining table and try to stab her with a shard of glass' option.

Will Smith bombed.

Yeah both Passengers and AC are out Wednesday. The AC review embargo lifted today, and the AV Club gets their review in right away, but Passengers is nowhere to be seen, despite every other site getting theirs up last week. No spoilers, but its begging to be savaged by this site because of certain themes.

Yeah. It'll be around the…BLOCK.

Oh for fuck's sake, I was hoping it would be good. You have an actual viable concept (It's like The Matrix! But with time travel!), an insane cast, a guy who directed Shakespeare…and it's schlock. Am I seeing it anyway? Fuck yes. Help me.

But you can do serious action movies that are still fun. John Wick for example. That's everything the Hitman movie(s) should have been.

Speaking of job, is there any reason why AVC hasn't actually posted a Passengers review yet? The embargo was over last week and every major movie site has reviewed it (and trashed it).

Buuuuuuuurn! I think you got his name wrong though, it's Russell, two "l"s. Wait a minute, his middle name isn't A-Hole at all! No, something's very wrong here.

OK I just started watching S2. I guess I've forgotten a lot of stuff from last year! So, one question - Are we supposed to know where the films are coming from? Judging from the first episode of S2, Stephen Root is able to glimpse alternate realities and capture them on film, is that it? Or is still meant to be

Actually he said he'd never played it. They/Ubisoft just approached him and he liked the idea.

No, I don't have OCD.

Well this fucking site for starters. Every single day, a new "Aren't Jen and Chris just totally adorbz, u guys?" article. Then I read some reviews and spoilers which show a hilarious disconnect between what these two are selling and what the movie actually is, and the whole Cute Couple marketing becomes increasingly
