Yeah, it was last week's episode that, for me, bumped it up from "enjoyable enough" to Appointment TV (TM). It might be my favorite show of the year, though I should probably wait till more than 4 episodes before saying that. I haven't had any problems with the pacing, myself. It's very much a slow burn kind of thing,

I've got my money on Some Period Bullshit starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth, Judi Dench, Eddie Redmayne, and Maggie Smith, directed by Stephen Frears.

Quarry is also a very good television show and will be on Cinemax, Friday at 10.

Yeah my main takeaway from all this is that Miley is pretty good

If nothing else, it already has the best cast of any videogame adaptation. (Actually I guess Angelina Jolie/Daniel Craig/Jon Voight isn't bad).

Superhero movies "didn't work" for years, until they did.

Yay, another role in a huge blockbuster where she can make no impression whatsoever.

Wow, so the lowest premiere of the season/only show to debut less than 1.0, eh? Maybe it'll do a Wicked City-esque three eps and done :)

That one did seem weird. I guess he is sort of "proven" on TV in that he was the co-lead of The Killing for 4 seasons, and did a stint on House of cards. I know Craig's show is supposed to be 20 episodes and done, so his $250,000 per episode neatly adds up to a $5 million flat fee.

Ha! I'd called for Conviction to get a 0.9, but that'll do nicely.

Eeets a stoopid hat!

That we seem to be in for a load of portentous cod-philosophical What It Means To Be Human discussions, a subject that's been done to death in various books, shows, and movies, and probably not a conversation that Hollywood's most uncreative empty suit and professional remaker JJ Abrams has anything interesting to

Screenplay by Aaron Sorkin, who is experienced in disappearing up an ass.

I've never been on a Pirates of the Caribbean theme park ride, but I assume the ride is historically accurate and involves theft, rape, murder, and slave trading? And possibly scurvy?

ALERT! We got a HOT take!

I wish!

Good evening! I'll be the one who hated it, then. Typical HBO over-produced, lovely looking but empty, pseudo-meaningful crap. They should have just gone full exploitation with it and sent it over to Cinemax (and put their actual good new show Quarry onto HBO).

Yeah I saw Kevin can wait too.

…money….is…nice…
