Quarry is fucking awesome, this was the best episode yet, and barely anything happened in it. The show needs support! It's weak that this is buried on Cinemax where nobody will watch it. With all the disasters HBO has had lately, why didn't they air it?

Not really. Aside from one or two vague connections here and there, the Craig films are the only time they've ever really done a sort of continuing storyline.

But they also had the old cast there too. I think Rogue One will be a more interesting test of how big the brand is on its own.

A new Bond is always a gamble - Moore, Brosnan, and Craig were successful; Lazenby and Dalton were not (box office wise, anyway). Even if a potential Bond looks good on paper, audiences might just give him a "meh" and the movie makes $400 million instead of the $800 million a Craig movie might pull in.
