There is pretty much no use case in the US where a Fit wasn’t a better answer than the iQ was.

That’s always the issue. Why would anyone get this when a Civic/Golf won’t have all the compromises?

My cousin had a Festiva. Know what happens if you get a tiny car for a teen? Other teens move it.

Chris Harris put it best: This is the sort of crap that makes ordinary fans lose faith in the sport.

This is one of those incredibly stupid rules that makes F1 hard to watch.

In the US is there any good reason to get a car this small?
They don’t really get better gas mileage than a somewhat larger hatch.
Not many places have parking problems these things solve.
Most of our streets are super wide.
This is a solution for a problem we don’t have.

I’d take the IQ over a Smart car, but who would willingly buy either?

Gotta hit those fuel economy standards somehow!

This is one of those situations that ruins racing. The FIA even stated that AM cant argue that this didnt give them an unfair advantage, as thats not a reason to appeal... that should be the ENTIRE appeal.

And who can forget the most cynical rebranding of all time, something that for a long time I did not believe actually existed and thought was an April Fool’s joke, a brand dilution so bad it makes the Cimarron look like a Maybach, the Aston Martin Cygnet!!

This is one of those situations where everyone in the world knows that the right thing to do is give Seb 2nd. But the rules say different so here we are. Fingers crossed they can find that last .7 of a liter.

If they need some help, the Russian urine-stealing-and-replacement operation could provide some guidance.

Yes - there’s a guy on the teslamotors subreddit that has done all the math.

“...and maybe even drive a little slower on the way there”

How anybody can look at that hideous, disjointed front end of the Toyota and not run away in horror is beyond me.

Props to Toyota for supplying a press car in an actual colour. To me that green looks fantastic. And you are right, some bronze wheels would just finish it off perfectly

Who buys a stick these days?”

I saw some system that pumped water uphill with excess energy during the day, then the did hydro on the off hours. Seems like the best of both worlds if you have the elevation.

Damn, the green on the Toyota is amazing. More vehicles need to come in green

I’ll use this as a point to argue that actual electrolytic cell batteries are fine for portable devices. For stationary energy storage they’re fucking stupid. Use either supercapacitor arrays or inertial batteries for that, like giant flywheels and centrifuges. The energy lost compared to energy produced is negligible
