Slowpoke tails grow back, but like everything else about them, they grow back slowly. If they are farm raised slowpokes it’s no big deal because they are hand fed. But if they are wild slowpokes, they will starve to death before their tails grow back. Slowpoke feed by using their tails as lures to catch fish.
