I only saw the other side of trade ins , buying games cheap a year or so after release , but after a while they still started looking for almost full price , so that was a big nope from me . As someone who collects old games , the lack of discs is going to maybe be a problem down the road ...want to play that Tekken

This is one of the big reasons this stopped being a daily or even monthly stop for me. It felt like the pitchforks were always coming out for every little thing. If company x didn’t acknowledge group y or game z made a questionable reference to party w, or otherwise perfect game a didn’t have k feature for the 3

As someone who works on animated films and worked on this film in particular, you nailed it. I didn’t hear any of this mentioned in any dailies, read it in any style guide, have it discussed in reference, a PDF, a folder with inspiration, etc. It’s all coming of age stuff that is universal and she’s ‘edgy’, in control

I think you misinterpreted me - I’m perfectly ok with the idea of her being trans, I just don’t factually think it’s true. I don’t think it’s a thing that the characters of the movie intended. I’m arguing against it not because I’m against the idea, but because I disagree with it being a real thing.

If only 99% of the discussion around this wasn’t absolute brainworms awful shit.

Then you’re a sociopath, Girlfriend Games is incredibly wholesome and they were actively donating to The Trevor Project while streaming, the psychos that hijacked their streams and brought a woman to tears through bullying aren’t allies of anything or anyone, they’re using trans suffering as an excuse to be shit

(Disclaimer: Bayo 3 is sitting in it’s wrapper currently on my desk, waiting for me to have time this weekend to dive into it. So take what I’m saying with a grain of salt.)

Boy do I regret calling for people to think rationally...

what original commenter is saying: “people should care about more of these conflicts, because they are all very horrible.”

your response: “oh, so i should stop caring about ukraine?”

pretty confusing response there.

it’s probably got little to do with the details of the lore of the game, haha. in fact, advance wars was delayed in its original release due to 9/11! so this is kind of an eerie repetition of those events, to be honest!

anyway, original commenter is correct that westerners largely don’t care, or even don’t know, about

So, can you explain how these hardworking staffers you’re bringing up would be affected by Mark’s videos in any way?  How is he actually hurting them?

Me at the beginning of the article: well this is dumb, if you’re running from a monster train just don’t go near the train tracks

it’ll be interesting for the first few hours but then the drudgery will set in

I love Destiny, but Bungie does occasionally have kind of weird assumptions about how ‘hardcore’ their basic playerbase is, I think: it shows in how they’ll never, ever, ever, let any activity naturally get ‘easier’ as the players level up, and in the way they approach matchmaking, as well.

See, I’d disagree; I think the conversation around Destiny gets a little warped just because so many of the people talking are ‘elite’ players, more or less - I really, really doubt that the average Destiny player is trying to grind a specific piece of gear* out of the ‘hardcore’ PvP mode, you know? In the same way

The core real complaint is that SBMM makes it so that good people have to sweat every match. If you’re at a certain skill level in the game then any reasonable amount of SBMM means you’re gonna face 360 noscope gods almost every match.

Now, I’d argue 2 things against that. 1) Trials is the pinnacle end-game of PvP, so

I’m sure I’m being uncharitable, but it’s hard for me to read ‘I’m a high skill player who hates the idea of skill-based matchmaking’ as anything other than ‘the game is only fun for me if I can tell myself I’m making it not fun for someone else’.

You seem to have missed the part where they only ever sold 200 copies and their studio is dead...

Huh. K. You definitely should reread what you wrote! Pay attention to tone and sentence construction.

this is an interesting stance. you’re saying that your personal experience gives you insight into how the world really works AND saying that wiredknight’s personal experience provides no insight into how the world really works. It’s almost as if you think there’s something uniquely special, magical and objectively
