It’s funny, I had a similar experience but with a midwife and also have some “what if”/regrets about how things went. Holy shit I thought I had interacted with Fallhammer more recently, but apparently last time was in 2014! Man time flies.

I’ve noticed in industry the popping up of Associate Scientist positions, which is more senior than research associate but doesn’t require a PhD. Are you seeing those in your area? Seems the right fit!

Adding to the stories of ex-tenant’s mail. I got official looking mail from time to time for a previous dude. Even went to the trouble of looking him up and offering to send it to him (he declined). After some Important Looking Shit started showing up at our place, tried to track him down again and found out he was Read more

I took the lack of concern about Barb as a reflection of how quickly people write off awkward/outsider teens, especially girls. They were so quick to believe she ran away (and as far as I can tell, everyone in town thought that through the season). Whereas Will was seen as more innocent and his disappearance probably Read more
