There is a Borderlands vibe to it, but the original Rage wasn’t a loot-and-shoot type game. There weren’t hundreds of useless weapons, shields and mods to collect and trade. Mostly, you scrounged for parts to build things like wing sticks (basically, a bladed boomerang and the most interesting weapon in the game),

That’s how I had been as a Kings fan since 1984. Took a day or two to sink in when they finally won the Cup in 2012. Right now, though, this Caps team has a similar feel to that Kings team: dominating games on the road, not trying to play too flashy, taking care of their own end of the rink, and having a goaltender

Indeed, though I understand the logic in making him available. Just have to hope in the long run Forbort lives up to his supposedly higher ceiling.

Waiting for them to officially change the name of the city to “LeBronto.”

Not sure about countries you might root for, but if you’re looking for entertaining players, the guy to watch right now might be Mo Salah with Egypt. He’s tied for the record for most goals in a 38-game Premier League season (chance to break that record this weekend). He’s had a brilliant year, and I would expect it

My legal career is built entirely on such stats.

I felt that way about the Kings until 2012, and even when they went up 3-0 on New Jersey in the Final, I was preparing myself for a disaster. Now that they’ve won two Cups, I expect them to do better than they usually do (see, 2015-2018), and I kind of almost miss the days when I had no expectation of them winning

This needs more stars.

Isn’t it obvious? Some droids just want to watch the world burn, man.

It will also grind the gears of the fan bases of 30 other teams, especially those of teams who have never won the Cup or haven’t won in a very long time.

I’m all in on this one. Have my star.

I went to law school because I was told there would be no math.

You may also want to revisit Kratos’ home after the story ends. The game has a scene that happens after the credits, so to speak.

I aged about 27 years in 2014 when the Kings won three Game 7s in the first three rounds on their way to the Cup (only team ever to do that, I believe). Welcome to life as a fan of an NHL team.

Soccer chants tend to be far more creative and interesting than the same damn chant after every Predators goal.

Thanks, and I guess that shows a bit of luck was on their side, too. They picked up guys who just needed a shot to play in different roles, and they seemed to hit on all of them. The only thing that didn’t work was having Vadim Shipachyov on their roster, but it turns out he wasn’t needed anyway.

Most definitely. It was a masterful plan, and they deserve the credit for how they approached the expansion draft, but I’m not sure they expected this kind of success so quickly.

It reminded me of how the Sharks dominated the Kings in the first two games of the first round in 2014. But, the Kings won that series after being down 3-0, so I’m not counting out San Jose yet because anything can happen...

Jets fans yell “TRUE NORTH” during the Canadian National Anthem because the team is owned by True North Sports.

McPhee and his scouts did a tremendous job at taking advantage of this weird sort of panic and attachment that many GMs had to certain players. He was able to turn that into, “Okay, we won’t take this guy, but you have to give me this guy/draft pick/combo of both.” So teams like Florida ended up giving away Johnathan
