Yes, that is exactly it. Super insecure.

That is a dramatically more interesting cast than what we’re getting. Almost wish I hadn’t seen this, now I’m gonna play FFXV and wish I was playing this instead.
Very glad I set this aside to play Arkham Knight, I’ve still got a good chunk of the game to go through and these improvements will make the experience so much better.
It’s worth nothing that Tom Brevoort said on Tumblr that we have not seen all of the ANAD books yet (Marvel’s press release for the preview book also alludes to this). I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see some kind of FF book in the second wave of announcements, and if there isn’t, then that means they probably make…
“Every X-Men Fan I’ve spoken to”
No, I’m not. I’ve been reading X-Men comics for over 20 years and I’m not sitting here tearing my hair out, screaming to the heavens that they’re being marginalized and that there’s some great conspiracy to sweep them under the rug. I choose to use my brain and see that there are something like 6 X-ongoings (or were,…
This Iron Man seems really youthful - which I know sounds silly, but that armor is a far cry from the recent designs. It could just be Marquez’s art, but it makes me think it’s someone like Iron Lad in the armor, or one of the many teen geniuses in the MU (Amadeus Cho would be great).
I’ll never understand you folks that are just positive you know exactly what is happening behind the scenes, and why, and what it will lead to, and then immediately hate the scenario you’ve come up with. It’s one thing to theorize and try to read between the lines, it’s another to make proclamations and judgements…
Maybe, but other than his line about theft and improving on things, the only plan he talks about is a doomsday weapon - which we then see with all the ships taking off escorted by the Children (or the doomsday weapon is in the City and the ships are part of the escort? Miles looks at something. That part is…
1) DC is moving, not Marvel. 2) Hickman pitched this story when he took over Avengers and New Avengers, years ago. This is not some corporate “do this so we can do this” thing. You’re assigning motivation based on your own prejudice and ignorance. Pump the brakes.
Hickman has always stuck the landing.
You’ll stick with rereading a ten year old event, rather than reading a new comic? Is that really the only option here? I mean, ok man, but it seems like you could probably do both.
“Then, that planet’s evil Reed Richards pulls a rabbit out of his high-tech helmet and people start disappearing in the heat of battle. It’s a beat that pays homage to the original Secret Wars from 1984, which collected heroes and villains for a cosmic brawl on a far-off planet.”
I’d respect your ability to just shoot right past facts and common sense so that you can proclaim your hate for something, but on the internet that’s actually not that impressive. You do you, Godzilla.
That would be weird, considering Bungie is not making Halo 5.
I don’t think “he didn’t do exactly what other origin stories did” is a valid criticism. The whole point of the New 52 was supposed to be doing something, y’know, new. If Snyder had just redone Year Zero, it would have been pointless and you’d have criticized him for rehashing the story. This isn’t the DC universe of…
Oh absolutely, Rucka and Williams were doing amazing stuff pre-52 and there was very little dropoff when Blackman came on (even though I’m still more upset that Rucka didn’t get to continue with that book). Williams’ work on the Wonder Woman issues (ok, on any issue he handled art for) was obscenely good.
*shrug* I thought it was great and did some really interesting, different stuff. Maybe it was a little long, but it reads really well in one sitting. And I love that ZY suit.
That was a great book, I really miss it and it’s the only New 52 book that I would consider competition for Batman. I guess I just enjoyed Batman a little bit more.
Snyder & Capullo’s Batman has been easily the best, most consistent DC book in the New 52 era. I’m really excited to see where this goes.
