Err, Gabrielle was definitely a fighter (she had her staff). She just didn’t kill people until later seasons. Maybe you just hated her because you didn’t like her character? I didn’t find her “girly” in anyway.

What do Xena and Gabrielle have to do with the sexualization of women’s bodies exactly?
Except that research shows that it has no effect on sexual assault rates.
You must be mistaken in thinking that I’m a post-modernist. I actually believe that words have meanings and that laws provide clear definitions for crimes.
There is actually no proof that sex ed does anything to reduce sexual violence.
I’m confused at to why we need an “open discussion” on crime. If I go out and beat someone on the street, should there be a “discussion” about whether I’m a dangerous and unstable individual or not?
You think that people should not be punished for committing crimes?
So you’re a rapist, huh?
Predators understand consent. They just don’t care about it.
Molesting someone asleep is classic predator behaviour. Very common when predators and victims are close (family members, for example).
CDC studies shows that teaching consent and raising sexual assault awareness in schools does nothing to decrease rates of assault.
While proven to be effective against unplanned pregnancies and STDs, I fail to see how sex ed would’ve prevented that situation.
The only “difference” between the two is that one is a better actor.
Why are women supposed to self-sacrifice and be everyone’s “safe space”?
The French are always so extra, I love it.
I doubt that seeing men admit to sexually assaulting women on a public forum and face zero legal consequences for it is going to make it any better to past and future victims.
I think it’s more about women sharing their experiences with each other. Might change something for victims who were silent and felt alone even if they don’t directly participate.
I don’t recall any explicit rape scenes in the show. Nothing gracious like in Game of Thrones.
Imagine if suffragettes had the same thought pattern.
1) I don’t have a “cause”.
