The democrats are also scared of candidates like her. The DNCC has been doing everything it can to keep progressives from winning primaries. Democratic voters need to start voting for progressives in the primaries.

What pisses me off about the democrats is how preoccupied they are with bipartisanship and consensus. They had the public option ready to pass when they had the majority, but felt that it would be too much and leave republicans feeling butt hurt on what would have been a massive victory. They care too fucking much…

Even if the Democrats take the House back in 2018, it’d still be nye-on-impossible to get the Republicans to vote for impeachment in the Senate.

I have to think the currently political climate is the main reason RGB is still there.  There has been talk of her retirement for a while now.  I can’t believe she’d still be on the bench for another 5 years.  Hopefully control of the Senate will have shifted by then.
