I was in my local GameStop the other day and talking to the manager. He said that he wanted “to make a community, not just another store” out of the location he managed. My first thought was the same parallel to comics shops that you just drew.

Tow? If that’s my property, that’s an immediate tie the other end into my 2-phase 220 outlet, grab a beer and watch the fun.
Yeah, I really don’t want to tell people not to develop games if that’s what they want to do, but it really feels like there are so many samey-looking indie games these days that it’s hard to find anything worthwhile and I’m sure some great developers are getting lost in all the crap that’s out there. I don’t know…
I honestly don’t know what indie devs can do these days. There are just too many games. I own thousands and thousands of games both physical and digital, and honestly I don’t even look for new games all that often, I’m never at a shortage of something to play. I check my Humblebundle monthly and have my eye on certain…
Little do EVE players know that their game actually exists as a layer in a 4X game, and CCP is finally reaping the consequences of years of ignoring researching Diplomacy upgrades.
I’ve pretty much come to terms that my expectations for E3 don’t match others. I’ve only had the time to watch Microsoft’s conference, but I thought it was fantastic and everyone seems to be bashing it. 60 great games, almost all of which I’m at least somewhat interested in, information about Scarlet, the new game…
On one hand, yeah, kinda. Square’s conference was heavy on the games, with nicely packaged trailers ready to go.
Sorry, but that was atrocious, mobile games and remakes, they totally flopped.
They specifically said last year that the new elder scrolls game would not come until at least a year after Starfield, so I wasnt expecting any standalone Elder scrolls game. But I DID expect Starfield. Huge let down and it seems they are even ramping up their efforts at lame mobile games.
It is deeply, deeply embarrassing to see so many gamers up in arms about Epic daring to compete against Steam by - perish the thought - paying more to developers, but not at all surprising.
I’m glad we’re still litigating this in every single comment section, because we all very deeply care about your thoughts on digital storefronts.
If it were an intentional choice they would have done it like Destiny 2 where certain activities are just loadout-locked.
It really is utterly mindblowing that being able to change your gear on the fly had to be an update in a goddamn looter shooter, but I’m glad it’s finally here. Will have to hop back into Anthem soon. The gameplay flow and visuals were awesome enough to keep me playing for a couple weeks at launch and now these QoL…
Yup, even if you’re a guy. If you get in a fight in the street, the object is to win/not get beat up. There are no rules. End it ASAP and walk away.
MMA Fighter Beats Off Onlooker
I always hate this topic because too many of the people I tend to side with on the subject are.... not great.
Game developers getting 18% more of your money is a huge benefit to the customer: The game developer can invest more in the games you love, and has less incentive to depend on trashy DLC models.
This is baffling to me.
Civ 6 is so much more clear to me than Civ 5 ever was. I don’t even need to turn on yield icons in Civ 6, but I pretty much couldn’t play Civ 5 without them.
This is what blows me away. I’ve never seen this much crowd support for a monopoly in my life. You can’t expect Epic to have the same games as Steam and compete with them. And this is a TIMED exclusive. And a short one. Good Christ.
WAHHHHHH EXCLUSIVITY IS BULLSHIT
