It is worth suffering through the extent of the Mercury storyline in order to get access to the unique legendary Lost Prophecy weapons, which prior to the release of Forsaken, were amongst the best legendaries in the game. All of those weapons drop as “powerful gear” - meaning they raise your light level, even past

Probably from Wheel of Time, Birgitte Silverbow, a Hero of the Horn of Valere. Possibly not though.

Fear, as both a lack of general education (the Imperium is too large to have any sort of “standard” Imperial education), and also as a control mechanism.

Oh, my bad.

I highly doubt Jones will ever leave, given that he is the only remaining founding partner of pre-Microsoft Bungie. Only Bungie knows what percent ownership he actually holds now, but I doubt he’s leaving any time soon.

Good luck stuffing a squatty potty into a stocking... lol. The rest of the ideas are pretty great though.

Hah! I saw this and thought “hey, nice screenshot from Horizon Zero Dawn, I should play that again!” And realized this is a picture of the real earth. Ah, video games.

I feel inclined to point out that only 4 of the machines are actually based on anything remotely dinosaur/reptilian (Watcher/Redeye, Bellowback variants, Snapmaw, Thunderjaw), and except for shellwalkers and corrupters, all of the rest (16+ including variants) being mammalian/avian and about half of those being

This is so timely and appropriate. I was in a matchmade game of Horde mode on Gears 4 last night, and we managed to clear all 50 waves in one go. The first wave that was a full team wipe was wave 46. I have no idea if the rest of the team was play as a group, or what, but it was random and beautiful how well everyone

Um, no. Cooling actually is the problem. The near-vacuum of space is as close to a perfect insulator for heat transfer by conduction or convection, which is what most people associate with “insulation.” The insulation works both ways - internal heat is harder to dissipate, and external surfaces must not be absorptive.

Thanks for posting articles like this! I may or may not ever visit Japan, and it sure is cool to see these sorts of things from time to time.

What baffles me are the people that blame lag and then continue to play, despite knowing the lag is terrible. I seem to always have a bad connection in Halo 5 but I do just fine with Destiny and Titanfall. So I stopped playing Halo 5 so that I could focus on having fun, instead of just being mad all the time.

That headline picture is super creepy because you can’t see Ciri’s nose.

Thanks for pointing this out. I had no idea.

I’m grateful that you’re actually acknowledging that the demo this weekend was an alpha or pre-alpha build. There are so many commenters on game news sites acting like the tech test was a full-feature beta and it’s just the end of everything! So many features removed! OHMYGOD! Did nobody else actually read the

Normally your writing is fantastic, but this... completely ignoring the role of game media/journalism in hyping a game... Kotaku has to be aware of its own role. People are responsible for their own expectations and dealing with their feelings regarding those expectations, bottom line. The games media though - uh,
