Drivetrain: RWD with manual available on all trim levels. Please, not a hybrid - keep it simple.

The power output even sounds similar to the M70, although I believe the M70 spec only had SOHC cylinder heads.

I liked it - it captured the 2-door sedan look, which has essentially disappeared (the 1-series still has a bit of it - and of course - everyone says it's reminiscent of the e30 - but there were plenty of 2 door sedans before those cars). My only problem with the concept was their choice to go with a mild hybrid

Seems these got pretty valuable in a hurry - Bonhams auctioned one off in '11 that was in pretty good condition for a LOT less money

I do believe Landau bars were actually functional on the old Jaguar drophead coupes (and I'm sure plenty of other cars from that, and previous eras)

While I the Legacy and 6 are great cars, it's irritating that they are only available with a manual on the base-most trim level with no options. I'd probably opt for the Fusion 1.6 with a 6 speed, since I think the Kizashi doesn't count anymore...

Great guys - looks like you're giving the morons out there ideas. I just got brake-checked by a red Contour, Texas plates NVR695, who apparently was upset that I was following within 2 car lengths... in 15 mph gridlock between lights. Best part - I'm on a motorcycle, so if it works, I actually get pretty badly injured

E30 - I vastly prefer the appearance and love the 4 cylinder.

I've had both an Aveo ('09 maybe?) and a Yaris ('12) as a rental car... I'd take the Aveo.

There is essentially zero natural convection in space (either outside, where there is effectively no atmosphere, or inside where everything is in free fall), so every minor piece of heat generating electronics needs some form of active cooling.

My Saturn has all of the window switches on the center console, a console mount shift lever for the auto transmission, a handbrake lever and two cup-holders - it also has a larger center console cubbie than most comparable cars today. Not sure what they're doing with the extra real-estate from getting rid of center

Hah, this is an interesting face-off for me as my dad just happens to own a 3.4L Cutlass Supreme convertible AND a later 4.0 XJS convertible. He's also thinking about selling both of them...

Is there 2.4L really particularly engaging anyway? I've been pretty disinterested in the Civic SI since they lost that stratospheric redline.

They actually marketed it a good bit on television when it launched - but the car was so incredibly forgettable that the ads didn't really 'stick.' It just came off as another Acura - 'This is for you, young, city dwelling, bar hopping, hipster business management types!' ad.

On the plus side, it should at least be a short lived trend...

I'd love to give this a NP, but with the rotted rockers, I don't think I could pony up that kind of cash for the car. You can buy a pretty nice, rust free AW11 MR2 for that kind of money, and end up with something that drives the correct wheels.

It continues to bother me that this is so universally acclaimed as Jaguar's first 'sportscar' since the E-type. This seems to derive from a combination of only having 2 seats and some marketing BS about 'intentions.' This weighs about the same as an XJS 3.6, which while admittedly quite a bit less powerful, at least

Well, what grade did I get? (I was told this was for credit!)

Ah, thank you for the clarification. It seems the wiki article link wasn't necessary at all, as he was being serious about his defense of moral relativism as applied to bigotry.
