I think the 300sl had a tank in the mid 30s as standard

I look forward to the first time I stop at a Buc-ees to use the bathrooms next to the Tokamak.

So for context, this is both cheaper and more fuel efficient than a base Civic. Huh.

Eh, I think a flying car doesn't have to drive. Fifth Element, blade runner - I think those counted as flying cars but really didn't drive. All it really needs is a similar form factor to a car and VTOL (preferably of the anti grav variety)

I look forward to having to watch an ad for every 30 minutes I want to use the air conditioning.

I hate the piano black interior trim on my car and I'm not sure why Mercedes would use it since it isn't a premium material. The fingerprints are annoying but the biggest problem is sun reflecting into my eyes off the trim. I would guess potential s class buyers would feel the same way.

Ultium sounds like it was dreamed up by a marketing guy that got fired from DC comics.

Maybe Harley should try making an SUV?

Yes, that’s bullshit. I drive my model 3 pretty aggressively (70+ mph on the highway and pretty hard launches most of the time) and it sees a far smaller penalty than my previous EVs (Leaf and a Volt). The AC seems to have a larger impact, but I think that’s likely because the car is so efficient at just moving down

I call it the velocitator.

I’m waiting for the three row Fiat 500xl crossover. Squeeze over 20 cup holders into that baby and it'll be a smash hit.

I’d by down with the Taycan high flux edition

After failing to work reliably with an essential phone, a Moto z2 and an iPhone se, my LG v35 finally seems to reliably unlock my model 3 and I finally like the phone key. No need to take out the phone and unlock it, it automatically connects while the screen is locked and works just like a proximity fob. I just don't

Hey at least we get the x7, amirite?

Good choice, I was seeing ludicrous cpo cars in the mid 50s a few months ago. That really seemed like the sweet spot of the model s purchase curve. Both of my non performance cars seem to have such extreme tire wear I’m not sure I’d use LM very much though :)

As someone who’s basically done this, CP. 2013 was the second model year on these and 2012 only had a few thousand made. The vin on this car is 20k, so it’s probably around the 10-15kth model s ever made and likely prone to many, many issues. The other issue: the model 3 is actually the superior car.

When autopilot detects you're on a minor highway or regular road, it maxes out at 5 over the limit. Major highways allow you to speed by more. I'm surprised this road qualified for more than 5 over.

13 over on a 55 in Florida is probably 5-10 mph slower than traffic flow...

That purchase was a 2 year old Nissan leaf. Their free shipping was great because there was a huge glut of Leafs coming off lease in Georgia (thanks to a very generous ev incentive back then), and given how difficult they are to transport long distances, resale in Georgia was much lower than everywhere else. I got the
