Your point appears to have been that casual bigotry is acceptable among the elderly, because those were somehow "different times." Also - the correct adverb is "well," not "good."
Your point is as cogent as your spelling is apt.
I think I'll keep an eye out for one of those 150k xj220s... it may have been a flop at the time, but it's always been my favorite supercar.
Maybe I have a different perspective since two of my neighbors have built quasi-drag bikes, and I've seen a lot of the cafe scene as well. I have both bikes and cars, and spend a pretty good amount of time working on both.
Ah, yes - that's right - because no one has every modified a bike to go faster...
If those numbers are real, I'd buy one as my rainy day 'motorcycle' and drive it around, helmet and all... 84 mpg would even beat my little 200cc bike that I use just to get to work and back.
The convertible was prettier, but I always kind of liked the goofy holdover buttresses on the coupes (supposedly leftover from the prototype, which was meant to be mid-engined - although this information may be sourced from top gear...). Yes - the early E-type roadsters were much, much, much prettier, but I think the…
Grounded to the ground?
I love watching these bike vs. car races, but am always annoyed that they pretend to be surprised that the bike's drag dominates at high speed and the car brakes better. I also couldn't tell if he was taking passenger weight into account with those power : weight numbers. The Diavel is a bit heavy compared to a…
I came here to criticize that as well - why would you pick the mk3 E-type? There's a reason why the MK1s are worth so much more (not to mention are much prettier with the covered headlights).
Uh... pretty sure you've got things mixed up there. Honda / Toyota have the brand recognition that keeps salespeople from negotiating (a majority of ignorant consumers walking onto the sales floor helps reinforce this), so you end up paying a higher price out the door for a lower quality car. They do generally seem to…
And his point is validated - if you think that Toyota is the best way to achieve comfort, reliability and safety - you're really just unaware of the other options on the market. If you want to stick to brand generalizations, Mazda is easily the equal of Toyota on every milquetoast metric you can come up with, and…
Absolutely correct - and perhaps it should be mentioned that just because Toyota has the worst drivers, it doesn't necessarily mean that anyone who drives a Toyota is a bad driver, simply that most bad drivers are attracted to Toyotas.
I wouldn't exactly call GM saved. They still seem to have some of the most conservative product out there and the new GM seems closer to pre-recession GM than Ford or Chryco seem to their pre-recession counterparts.
Still working on pods 2 and 4. It actually needs 3 pods to be allowed to approach the space station.
If this design is polarizing, I'm pretty sure it's a mono-pole. Haven't really seen anyone coming out strongly in favor of the design.
Was done a while ago on the original Top Gear. I'm pretty sure they used a Saab and an Alfa to make a limo.
Obayashi space elevator? http://www.gizmag.com/obayashi-space…
That's assinine, and cost cutting isn't equivalent to higher margin. Why not suggest Rolls Royce is the worst offender for cost cutting becaues ultra-luxury cars have larger per car margins? And while the topic of low displacement turbos is clearly a troll started by the OP, the notion that a DI, turbo engine can't be…
