@jodark: to each their own, but the mustang gt seems to put it's power down quite well with it's 'shitty' chassis. i was talking about fuel economy because we were comparing v6 cars. why would you buy the v6 if you didn't care about fuel economy? of course, there's really no point even comparing the v6 genesis with

@jodark: yeah, but the mustang's suspension is fine, the genesis looks terrible, if I'm cross shopping I would be buying the V6 mustang, which costs 3k LESS than the 3.8 genesis and gets 5 mpg MORE than the genesis (I'd give a shit about mpg if I were buying the v6 - but hell - even the Mustang GT is rated the same as

@FordGTGuy: I believe that test was with the Mustang optioned out with full luxury accoutrements. I'm a little surprised by this, but if I had to go out and buy a new car today, the current Mustang GT would be the only new car I would consider. If I had to spend under 25k, the I'd get a Mustang V6. There's just

@b33g33: you know, it's pretty amazing that no one made an aftermarket trunk lid for that. it'd really just take that one panel to turn that into a moderately attractive, albeit conservative, car.

meh, i'd rather have an s54 mcoupe

@Skunky: yes, because we all know hydrogen burns black and takes a long time to burn off / dissipate...

Couldn't the video just be telling you that if you're distracted while driving, you're STATISTICALLY MORE LIKELY to hit a mom and her kid and then be forced to witness the mom watch her kid die.

Zimmers are also completely awful

Because - not only are you driving one of the ugliest, tackiest cars ever produced - but everyone can see you in it! Ladies (haha, who are we kidding) and gentlemen, I present to you - the Excalibur!

Any Toyota, some Suzukis (Esteem, SX4, their little SUV things), Daewoo (including, but not limited to the Aveo), SUVs (I'm usually fairly embarrassed when I have to drive my g/f's Escape) or any Hyundai / Kia less than 2 years old.

@snap_understeer_ftw: I dunno - I've looked through the manufacturer recommended oil weights on some of my older vehicles (BMW in particular is quite thorough about it). Generally the temperature range is much more dependent on the cold viscosity than the warm viscosity. As in, a 20w40 oil is good to MUCH hotter

i'm kinda curious what he was charged with. in the us, anyway, i don't think there are any laws about wearing cooking paraphernalia while driving.

um, is this store a paint booth for rent? (if so, that's possibly the greatest thing ever) heck, even if it's just a regular paint and body supply shop, i'm not sure why you'd call it a boring store. the only stores i can think of more exciting would be automotive specialty tool supply and number one most exciting is

I would say incompetent repairs. It's much easier to sort out a neglected car than one that's been fixed badly. The really scary part is that I bought the thing from an aircraft mechanic...

@pmalik: Hrmm, a couple of cheaper ones in Toronto right now, but I have NO idea what it would take to import them. The s50 seems like it probably makes up close to the price difference as well:

@pmalik: are you sure about that? this same seller had a good condition wagon for sale a year ago for 7k (so I have to assume that's the one you're talking about?), but it had no driveline. those are the only two wagons i've ever seen for sale in ny.

@Buzzboy7: and while we're at it, how about an e30 shooting brake?

@pmalik: the wagon commands a very serious price premium since the number of them registered legally in the us is in the single digits.

seems like a very nice price to me. you'd probably pay at least as much for a euro s50 and a clean wagon shell, would have to wait years to find them and still be left having to fit them together. i'd change out the wheels to something a little less ricer, but that thing looks great. the seats also look decent through
