@dieselkopf: motor swaps on e30s are extremely common and there's a very good knowledge base for them. this is probably a very clean swap and I'd feel much much better about this than say a small block jaguar. touring shells and euro S50s are expensive enough to where this isn't some kid who picked up a clean shell

@Ash78, pending babydaddy: eh, it was over 60 hp/L. The sad thing is, even with it's measly 135/140 hp strapped to a +3000 lb wagon and a pretty poor excuse for a torque converter, I still never end up revving it past 3000 rpm AND I still suffer from road rage while driving it. there's something wrong with the people

@drblair: true, the challengers are way more rare since no one wants to buy one.

@pauljones: sorry, i've been in since 6 am, central time.

wow, i think that's the best angle i've seen that car photographed from.

That's fine if you want to talk about mass produced, low end versions of cars - but when you actually do get into the rarer stuff, I think the price premium is worth it (especially euro cars from the '20s, '30s, '50s and '60s). I definitely believe in putting some miles on cars, but on the other hand, I wouldn't want

That is EXACTLY the type of car ad that would work on me.

Huh, so that internet money is real after all!

The 10 profile tires are for reduced rolling resistance, right?

Awesome - Honda realized the only thing that could fix their design language is MOAR PIXELS1111

"I love my Prius"

Ok, am I the only one who actually read the first couple of paragraphs where they say this thing is a test bed? C'mon people, they're not launching hummers. Actually, they won't be launching much of anything for the foreseeable future, now will they.

@southernscrew: stuff in space tends to be electric, solar arrays, hydrogen fuel cells and batteries are generally used as power sources.

@protomech: I think you mean to say that Mars is more SIMILAR to the Earth than the Moon.

@Kangaru: the sad part is, i believe this technique has actually been used quite successfully by other manufacturers. BMW in particular uses a lot of Alusil coated cylinder walls.

...wtf. there is no excuse for a Miata to be dressed as a Z3. This hurts my head.
