@luisthebeast: Three wars back we called Sauerkraut "liberty cabbage" and we called liberty cabbage "super slaw" and back then a suitcase was known as a "Swedish lunchbox." Of course, nobody knew that but me. Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.

You know, I'll bet that if a kid has to put his first car together from a bunch of pieces, he's a lot less likely to drive it recklessly or crash it.

yay, he knows how to push the accelerator pedal down! always amazing when some asshat brags about something that takes absolutely no talent, much less something that takes no talent and is incredibly stupid, illegal and dangerous to himself and everyone around him. it seems like kids like this pop up on bmw forums

Weird - I owned a first gen Intrepid and I'm pretty sure the trunk was about the same size stock.

well, at least he has asymmetric racing stripes in different colors.

Maybe the British are tired of never having any good material for their versions of Cops (Bobbies?)

Ok, if you want to use vinyl wrap wood grain, you at LEAST have to have raised trim, even if it's also just viny wrapped, and you need to carry it all the way through the front fender. This looks retarded.

ats-v mt please.

@Twonius: Buick Roadmaster Estate (or any older full size American Wagon) ftw, then. Bench seats AND you can fit a queen size mattress in the back.

I think the analysis done using wind tunnel data is more complex than simply reducing drag coefficient. Cars that look aerodynamic often are, and this is evidenced by many cars that pre-date wind tunnels and cfd analysis having quite low drag coefficients (for example - Tatra T77a - Cd = 0.212 in the 1930s! Tucker

...there are other advantages to bench seats besides the number of people you can fit in the car.

@luisthebeast: no, which is why i'd term it a "stimulus" and not a bailout. i guess it's splitting hairs - gubmint money is gubmint money.

aww sweet, i'm sick of that happening to me and having to push start the car afterward. now they just have to come up with something for when thermite randomly drops through my engine block.

no it wont.

@Dirt Pirate: Hrm, I thought the Fit was supposed to actually be a pretty decent car. While I've heard the 2nd gen isn't quite as good as the first, it's still generally considered a segment leader (at least till the Fiesta gets here!)

@SlowMo: Yeah, I don't think a twin-cam v6 is going to have much in the way of weight advantage over a twin-cam v8.

What's not to like about a the Crosstour, Ridgeline, Pilot, Odyssey, Insight, Element or CRV?

I can just drop this into my NA miata, correct?

@monsterajr: actually, i was a pretty lame teenager, so i probably would have been quite a bit more respectful. however, i think that's pretty par for the course, which is why i don't like anyone else ever getting behind the wheel of one of my cars.

@rigidjunkie: nothing like using your Ford GT powerstroke to tow your F430.
