Meh, I was a big critic for a while (when Jessie was being downright evil,) but I kind of got into the groove of the show again. I hope they keep it going - which they might, it’s not like it’s the biggest budget show around.

Yes, they’re very quick with answers. i.e., I asked how do I delete a post (like this one.) I quickly learned that you can’t.

I saw an interview where the scumbags said that Tonya had it rough and they wanted to help her. They walked through the whole deal, from idea to execution - Tonya didn’t stop it but she didn’t do it either. It’s a grey area, I know.

How defeatist and lazy. That’s what’s wrong with the modern America - people would rather just live with systemic corruption and theft than do anything about it.

This looks like a good show, but I want Simon to take on the modern D.C. lobbying industry before too long. I think that he’s the only one who can balance that many egos and agendas bouncing off each other, Bonfire of the Vanities style.

I think the “coffee” was mentioned to help gauge how turbulent the plane was. (bad enough that you don’t pass out drinks, but not so bad that stuff flies around the cabin)

Don’t forget CBS All Access. ... ... HAHAHAHA!

...at $15/month.

As much as we hate Teddy, we need to be able to track the cocaine from the contras to the street. We’re stuck with him.

See, I disagree. I loathe the “painstakingly built Democratic coalitions that had formed over decades,” ditto for the Republican ones. The winner was a candidate who refused to bow to that kind of logic - and he won despite being a certifiable lunatic.

He expressed that he would vote for Bernie first for prez, if he had his choice among all candidates. Our primary is late, making it meaningless by the time we roll around. (R’s can’t vote in the D primary, which isn’t a given.)

Honestly, I respect someone who votes both ways over someone who votes a straight-party ticket. People seem blinded to the problems of their own side.

Stupid, honest Bernie Sanders. Like Jon Snow. It’s the truth, she is crooked, but saying so doesn’t help his position.

Nope what. I’m good friends with a Bernie/Trump voter. He was Bernie (1st) Trump (2nd) from very early in the primaries. That was almost verbatim his attitude.

Right. The Sanders/Trump voter sees both parties as beholden to large donors (often the same ones) and wanted someone outside the system in charge. They are disillusioned, and see systemic corruption as more important than any particular issue.

Err - quick Kinja question: How do I delete a post (like this one)?

Naw, you just don’t understand the Bernie/Trump voter. They’re the ones that hate the establishment, who see both parties as corrupt and wish some outsider would come riding in and break the two-party system (both parties sold them out to lobbyists.) Bernie had no “sway” with them, he just seemed like an honest dude.

I agree that this has been a dry season for female banter (Arya and Sansa’s story was poorly written, and theirs suffered for it.) So if that’s your bottom line, I’ll concede the point.

Unlike the multi-dimensional NK. Your own example is LF - the writing in general has fallen a little for both genders. It’s too bad that the show surpassed the books, with all of the nuance that they introduced.
