<sigh> The two world leaders are women (Dany, Cersei), as are many leaders from around (Sansa, Sand snakes, the moon-door aunt) including young and old fan favorites (Lyanna Mormont, Olenna Tyrell), the two best fighters in the land (Arya, Brienne-is Jon better than either? I dunno...) Bad guys and good, magic users

Case in point, Gwen (you’re the only one reading this, I’m sure,) the post is four hours old and it’s no longer on the front page - it’s almost halfway down page two.

Great idea - discussion points. The problem is that the avclub homepage holds 1/10th of the links that the old one did, so a discussion flies off the page after a few hours and takes wading through old articles to find it. (How recent was the Snowfall article? Two days ago? Good luck finding it.) People aren’t

Trauma counseling for volunteers - quick tips. In case any of you are going down to Houston.

If you’re a corporate donor, donate to the Salvation Army. After Katrina, in Bay St. Louis Mississippi, the Red Cross opened up a food tent. People remember the high-end scouting for spots (huge trains of buses for admin), they were the LAST organization to set up the tent (rendering them completely redundant), the

I spoiled R+L=J for a friend and I regret it. He would have had much more fun slowly figuring it out on his own.

I’m a fan and I say... Not yet. It will either get better or worse. It’s got great parts but sometimes things are just a mess. So the question is, is the story going anywhere? Answer TBD.

I like that Franklin’s narrative is about freedom, empowerment and independence. He’s trying to make a name for himself, get ahead in the world and fights for respect. He walks through the Black Panther HQ and imagines himself as some sort of revolutionary.

The show is beautiful, and amazing in many many ways. That said, many of the problems could have been fixed in another pass.

AMEN.

In other news, scientists prove that sequels and remakes are better than original movies. “People don’t like surprises,” said one study. Another study said that people like shameless applause lines over original stories (as measured by applause). But you already had an instinct for that, because you’re smart

If our heroes had ignored the undead army, if Snow never cared what happened north of the wall, then the undead would have never gotten the wight dragon it used to get past the wall. That’s just bad writing.

Hrrm... Kinja bug report - can’t delete my comments. Like this one.

Seinfeld’s money comes from 99.95% syndication of his show (he produced/starred in the most watched show on television for years), 0.05% everything he’s done since. You should check Seinfeld out, it’s still great.

There was an article on this site laying out the case earlier today (open doors during fights, etc.), but it got buried - probably for being too on-the-nose. You’ve got to be careful of spoilers when the eps are leaked?

Good point: animated GIF’s. Instead of loading 7 comments at a time and allowing animated GIFs, how about loading 1000 and NOT allowing them. Movies take more bandwidth than text.

Keep your spoilers out of your article titles.

Lol - I click “Load more comments” and it loads FOUR more comments!!! You can’t participate in a conversation if you can’t read what others are saying, AVclub!

Sorry, I don’t give my personal information to Google more than it already has. No Chrome, no logging in with a Google email addy, etc.
