If you want classic horror, you can’t go wrong with Lesbian Vampire Slayers. That was a great movie.

Kids movies are generally fun and fluffy. Try something like Despicable Me.

I’m sick, and cooking in this oven we call an office isn’t helping. I stayed home yesterday, and I’ve got two days off tomorrow, which is why I decided it was a good idea to come today, but fuck I’m burning up here. I am definitely bringing a fan when I get back on Tuesday. I have a nice tower one, not quite portable,

That sounds super disgusting. I can’t wait to buy one.

Right, but what Otter is suggesting goes way beyond a stern word with the bully- she’s trying to classify it as full on, breaking the law, sexual assault.

I’m sure they were told it was a joke, and why people were laughing/they weren’t laughing at them, even if they didn’t understand the specifics.

Jezebel posters, probably.

As a Jew with a minor in accounting, I second that first point.

I can easily imagine that there’s nothing damaging about this situation to the victim. They’re 8. This is the kind of shit 8 year olds do. At most, the mother should get the name of the bully, use that and the school directory to call her parents, and talk to them about the situation.

They’re 8. I don’t believe there’s any danger here.

Except this isn’t like Fury or Human Torch, where race is completely irrelevant to the character, and they might as well be a half black/half Asian Eskimo. Being a rich white kung-fu master is a major part of his character, the same way being black is a major part of Luke Cage’s. It’s a major change to his character

Right, there are very few exceptions to sales taxes, even among things most people would consider “necessities”. Here in Washington, it’s food, prescription drugs, manufacturing/farming equipment, and newspapers, plus a few rules about selling to the federal government/non-residents and stuff.

God yes. “Sweetie” is one of the most condescending words in the english language.

But that’s still not fraud. Again, it might be unethical, but it isn’t fraud.

Yeah, I remember it from back in highschool (so it was a long time ago). Gist of it was that a kid had sex with his teacher, the teacher had a kid, and the father had to pay support, despite the statutory rape.

Except he didn’t commit fraud. Even if her allegations are true, he still didn’t commit fraud. She’s saying he created a child with her in order to milk her for child support, which might be unethical, but isn’t fraud, or even illegal.

I’ve never heard of a father who gave up all rights to his kid and then wasn’t required to pay child support because of it. Especially not without the mother’s permission.

If the man previously agreed to have the kid as a result of a sperm donation? Probably the same thing. Generally, child support decisions are set up heavily in favor of the kid, to the exclusion of the parents. That’s how you get shit like men having to pay child support to their (convicted) rapists.

I know that feeling. It’s like Christmas every day, knowing you’re earning enough money to buy yourself stuff you want. Feels really weird at first. I’ve been working for 3 months now and I’m still not fully over it.

It sounds like you might have narcolepsy or sleep apnea. Try Modafinil. It’s what my sleep doctor prescribed me when I all told him we had trouble sleeping, and it worked like a charm.
