How did you not know how much your rent was?

We have pictures.

If he’s that blasé about it, he might not have minded.

Doesn’t sound like it. Percy Jackson is more of a classic adventure series.

There are such things as fly traps. We bought a few back when we had flies in our apartment.

Yep. By the time I actually get off work to post real stuff, it’ll be 9 for me, which is midnight here I guess? We need to bring back Sunday night socials, for those of use on PST who work saturdays.

Well what was he in prison for? I wouldn’t date a murderer, but there are a lot of people in prison who are still reasonably nice guys. The war on drugs casts a wide net, for instance.

I wouldn’t know, I don’t pay my loans. Government says I don’t make enough money to afford it, and I don’t argue with them. Yay for pay as you earn plans.

But there haven’t been any factual findings regarding Kesha’s personal safety, which is the issue here. There isn’t “clear bad behavior”, there’s the accusation of bad behavior, and that’s not enough to void a contract, nor should it be.

the burden of proof is always the same in civil cases.

There are never punitive damages, but there are normal ones, and I’m certain what Kesha was asking the court to do was wave those.

Not all contracts give the parties the opportunity to “give notice and leave” That’s something in each specific contract. It’s in yours, and obviously not in Kesha’s. And Kesha did “turn around and sue”. She lost that suit, because she had no evidence she was in danger. She has an avenue to have her grievance

Kind of. Most of your constitutional rights are written as to only exist if you don’t sign them away. You don’t have any protection against unreasonable search and seizure if you sign something letting the cops in, because once you do, it instantly becomes reasonable, since you signed it away. NDAs are signing away

Only if she had proof, and if she had proof, he would be in jail.

There are ways to get out of contracts, mainly if they were signed under duress. But there’s a high burden of proof for that kind of thing, as there should be. It’s not just an ancient and paternalistic idea that society would crumble if contracts weren’t enforceable. Literally everything obligation anyone has beyond

Bit-torrent. There is literally no reason to “suffer cable”.

The law says they do, at least to the first two.

They can’t, but if your pregnancy costs them money and you didn’t follow their rules, they can and will sue.

That sounds pretty risky to me.

I’m considering it.
