"Body diversity"? Oh please. These are competitive rowers; they're going to be tall and lean with big quads and lats. In my peak competitive rowing years (university and, briefly, national team) top men's eights averaged about 6'5", 200 lb., with very little body fat and freakishly huge lungs. You want body diversity?

And yet I get arrested whenever I get naked to fight homophobia.

So, yes. A size 10 is not normally plus-sized, but the world of modeling isn't normal.

I'm more than a little incredulous that a blogger at Jezebel, a place that has a penchant for snarking on people who have committed far lesser body-image related offences, fails to see the problem with this.

God Bless you, mommy

Ohhh... 'Mommy' being dirty in THAT kinda way. ...Cause sometimes... With this other woman I know... And... Uhh... Yeah...

I also know they leave the house and meet for drinks and no one is asking them if they are a table of "dads on the loose," and to my knowledge, there is no "Daddy Juice" Wine.

Thank you for introducing me to a helpful new term.

This whole thing feels rather contrived. Like people ran out of shit to complain about today and this was the last thing available.

Another day, another Jezebel headline that reminds me of Betteridge's Law.

It's not just these photos, it's literally all of the "candid" shots on her Instagram and site. It's amazing, because every time a new B photo shows up on Insta, I instance look for warp tool abuse. I don't have to look hard.

I dunno about you, but my curtains usually don't have noticeable points of inflection.

Next you're gonna be telling me she isn't actually Dr. Zoidberg!

As a rule, I go nowhere and purchase NOTHING on Black Friday. I even delay purchases for about a week afterward to drive the point home. It's my only form of protest. Employees have to get to the store hours before customers to set up and even longer to clear up. And what for?

Maybe it is to some people...but to me, no, that does not qualify as a tradition. It's a new thing, and as we seem to agree, not a great thing. In the scheme of things, fifteen years is not a very long time. It's hard for me to think of it as a tradition.

It's my first year of not working retail!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recently made up traditions brought to us by marketing machines are the best traditions.

I know! Thursday at 5pm is when the 49ers and Seahawks game starts! Shopping interrupting football?!?! That's un-American!!!

We are going to need some really good War on Christmas carols if we want to win this thing. I wrote two to get us started.
