Holy cow! I had no idea that V6 predated the Mustang itself.

I love these kinds of stories.
I think people forget just how much of a shitshow Ford was at the time.
I worked at a GMC dealer for several years. The arrival of GMC pickups with Chevy tailgates was pretty much a monthly occurrence.
So for all that effort Olds really didn’t achieva much..
Actually the switch panel is in the correct orientation. The rest of the car is backwards.
This kind of stuff always cracked me up when I saw it. My all time favorite was when we started seeing random interior door panels on new Grand Cherokees that would, for example, be tan when the rest of the interior and other door trim would be grey. We all thought WTF? How could they pass end of line inspection?
yeah, that is a fair point. I mean at least we get better beer out of it. But youre right. Ive said this before on this site but im 47 and have yet to see an honest god democrat/progressive/liberal as president. LBJ was before my time. I mean LBJ has all sorts of problems, dont get me wrong but he pushed harder than…
I’m just here to laugh at all the people who don’t know what the term “neo-liberal” means. It means neither liberal, nor is it partisan. It’s a term with specific meaning.
There’s nothing funnier than living in a society where people will argue about something they don’t understand, as if they are some sort of expert.…
So, this field that didn’t exist ten years ago now contains the Audi Q8, BMW X6, Maserati Levante, Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe, and Porsche Cayenne Coupe. Priced well above those is the very coupe-like Lamborghini Urus. I’m sure within the next few years, Jaguar will jump on board and Acura will try to field another…
Ah, the old “but what if we made this worse” vehicle!
Think of how much they could save by slashing CEO compensation!
What kills me is that he promised to run the country like a business. Leaving the problematic nature of that itself aside, I just wonder why anyone would have wanted it to be run like one of HIS businesses.
Tundra was new for 2007.
My bad, speaking from my experience with the Sienna which leads to us selling the thing 3 years in after the last crash test came out.
Bingo. It was just supposed to fill a void. It’s one of those cars where even though they want to distance themselves from the base, they can’t afford to give it up (at least until this year). Same reason why the Escalade will probably never join the alphanumeric naming scheme.
Just here to see (my fellow) left wing friends reading the phrase “neoliberal”, having no clue what it means, and getting butt hurt about it.
It’s scary how detached from reality Trump is. The guy has the understanding of a 5-year old. He can’t grasp even the simplest notions of demand-driven economy and basic business. Small wonder almost every business he touched crashed and burned. (steaks, vodka, mortgages, magazines, universities, casinos, bottled…
Millennial here. It’s true, I’d rather not work and travel the world, only doing photography (at least I am a part time photographer). But I will also admit that I think I make a more than fair wage (automotive engineer) for the amount of work I have.
Lets not forget that GM (and i am guessing ford) have also done many billions in dividends/stock buybacks to fulfill the cult of shareholder value which is a relatively recent neoliberal value.
