The notion reminds me of when Hardee’s first started marketing the six-dollar burger, pitching it as a restaurant-quality burger you could get from a fast food place. If I recall correctly, it worked pretty well and led to a whole ‘thing’ with more of these massive, pseudo-upscale burgers for a while.

Oh, nice! That is interesting!

The dialogue in the trailer about ‘bad miracles’ and the weirdness coming from the sky, glimpses of which we seem to get, makes me think we’re about to have some Old Testament-style, biblically-accurate angel shenanigans going on.

But it was better before all that happened, honestly, back when they were trying to pass off their obvious obsession with one another as mere professional courtesy.

Wait, that’s impossible, Billy West can’t be 70 unless... wait... wait, are... are we all aging?

Maybe the people who previously came up with new food have been reassigned to the department that’s all about being a jerk on Twitter.

(though what’s up with William H. Macy’s forehead).

Everybody’s like “Is this canon, is that canon?” and I keep thinking I read somewhere that Feige just said at one point, in so many words, that the events of the Netflix shows basically happened but don’t expect all of the details to hold. Like, he said it in a way such that there’s an implied “we’re leaving some

I’ll admit to being one of the people who tried Chapagetti after being made aware of it following Parasite’s release and popularity. Funnily enough, we don’t get it in the local chains (though Neoguri is quite plentiful), but I can get it in a local Asian grocery. Samyang has a knock-off (Buldak Jjajang) that adds

I can’t help but wonder if Padalecki being involved in the Walker spin-off is something from the network meant to take the sting out of him being left out of the Supernatural spin-off.

Woo, fellow Fairmont-sufferer solidarity!

Pepperoni rolls. I mean, I dunno if it’s a ‘local favorite’ or ‘specialty,’ but it’s what my hometown (Fairmont, WV) is known for.

The Band is playing later. Who is on stage!

That is very nice. I’ve got a Bonjour Montano that I received as gift some years back that I still use, this big stainless steel beast of a press. I don’t think you can get this one any more, though. (Picture taken from the internet, as I didn’t feel like digging mine out for a photo.) It’s served me pretty well, and

Ooooh, that’s good. I start with ‘alien,’ myself. Three vowels, and a couple of semi-common letters but leaves me enough common ones to cobble together a second word.

Okay, I tried linking it in the post and it came out weird (thanks, Kinja!). Here’s the URL. https://www.seriouseats.com/perfect-boiled-eggs-recipe

Huh. For a while I’ve been doing J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s method, which is the ‘start them in cold water’ method, but I’ve never had any problems. Though he boils them for 30 seconds before simmering, I don’t know if that makes any difference. (Though to be fair, I don’t go through a lot of hard-boiled eggs, I prefer

Yeah, I don’t normally check the byline before I start reading an article, but once it got past the actual news content and into the pointless commentary, I was like “Ah, Barsanti, of course,” and scrolled up to confirm.

I suspect that some of that can be attributed to the fact that Joss is a third-generation screenwriter. He grew up in an industry that traditionally has bent over backwards to protect people like him from those who would hold them accountable. He legitimately might not expect any long-term consequences from this, and
