Seriously, season 3 was the best time to drop the show. You're very lucky. I stuck around until the season 6 premiere and regretted it. Season 4 was a joyless slog (while I respect them doing a PTSD storyline, it just wasn't right for this show), and I watched season 5 out of "Well, it has to be better than season 4,

Yeah, hate to break it to you, but Harley's not exactly with the Joker full-time in the comics either. Last I checked, she's in an open relationship with Poison Ivy.

So 'hard PG-13' probably means at least two of these three things are going to happen:

Ah, I'd blanked on that. And maybe Major did more recon of Meat Cute than we saw on-screen.

Apparently the mystery of Beckett's mother is a nesting doll of 'the guy they thought was responsible was actually working for SOMEONE ELSE' over and over again.

So wait, drugging the zombies and stuffing them in the freezer is what? Putting them in hibernation? I think I missed something.

I'm actually slightly physically ill after reading that. But also relieved that I jumped ship when I saw the opportunity (the season 6 opener was the last straw for me), so I sincerely thank you for that much for that at least.

That's fair. I've also considered the possibility that he's some version of the Black Flash — and he might still be — but Wells seems pretty confident that he's a metahuman created the same way Barry was.

I've considered Hunter Zolomon, since it would logically follow Eobard Thawne. I've also considered Edward Clariss, who was the 'reverse-Flash' for Jay Garrick in the comics. But I can't help but think they'll do a bit more than bring in some random guy out of left field after all the buildup.

"the big story arc this season is supposed to be Kate Beckett torpedoing her marriage and career to pursue who really REALLY Killed Her Mother "

I didn't pick up on the guy in the chair at first, but once he started rattling off the "perfect murder" monologue, I knew just from the sheer amount of dread in my gut that this was Stacey Boss. Because they'd built up the character just enough from description that the way Eddie Jemison delivered that little speech

I haven't delved into the internet rabbit holes myself, but the local theory here is that it's Earth-2 Henry Allen, just for the pathos.

Y'know, a lot of people were complaining particularly last season about the recognizable guest stars always being the killer in the end. I had trouble getting it, because I literally don't watch the right shows to recognize more than 1 in 20 of them. This episode, I really got to experience that first-hand because I

Anybody else get a Superman-Lex Luthor sort of vibe from Jay's interactions with Harry? Not complaining, just wondering if I'm the only one seeing it.

"Part of what makes this week’s episode more compelling than previous installments is the fact that there’s a clear plot progression from the beginning of the episode to the end."

Or maybe someone's just taking the "it was all part of the plan" interpretation of Jar-Jar from the 'Shakespearean' version of Phantom Menace too seriously and wants a cookie for it.

I meant Baldie Henchman. He comes across like a watered down version of 'The Hunter' from the second half of Heroes season 3.

Ah, my bad, then. I'd missed that the guy and Lash have been in more or less the same place at once before.

That threw me too. Maybe a deliberate anti-climax?

I'm pretty sure Coulson's deal is that with the ATCU, he's seeing a group with the infrastructure he used to have access to before SHIELD collapsed. So he's playing ball with them to take advantage of their resources, not having to spend as much time fighting them, and probably planning to find a way to take over
