This. My last two companies the rule was you had to take the lowest priced flight that was available during a given time frame (say, 8 am to 7 pm.). The one exception was that you could book a flight that was something like up to $50 more IF you were returning to work and it saved you more than two hours.

Yup. I’m flying way less than I used to, because the process is just hellish. We still travel, but we’re doing a lot more closer-to-home destinations that are doable by train or car.
