That’s exactly what I mean though. I know nothing about MMA except for her and that she is (was) dominant. It would be very easy to PR-makeover her and package her for people who aren’t into MMA (a huge section of the country) as a general “tough, fit girl who photographs nice enough.”
applying one spritz, rubbing it in,
Admittedly, I’ve never seen her act, so maybe she has more talent there then I have assumed. To me, she just doesn’t seem to have that spark that most good actors have.
That was my thought — all my devices are set to DND from 11 pm to 7 am because I don’t want to be woken up by some drunk idiot accidentally texting a wrong number.
I’m not a fight expert at all. I’m a middle-aged mom whose only real athletic experience is in genteel, non-contact sports like running and tennis. But just by nature of growing up in New Jersey I’m pretty sure I could do a better job of dodging a punch than she did.
I think she can easily pull a personal training-focused lifestyle brand-type second act. She is tailor made for places like Women’s Health to write pieces about being a glam-tough bad-asss with an 8-page pictorial of her modeling workout clothes from her new line.
This. Even if you think someone is sad for a dumb reason, they are still very sad! That is, for SO many reasons, a bad time to inform someone that you think their feelings are somehow wrong. Why is this so hard for people to get?
I’m so sorry. As a mother myself, I can’t even imagine what you are going through.
They were both such funny spitfires and real “dames” in the best sense of the word.
You may be a simple unfrozen caveman lawyer to whom this world is strange and confusing, but that comment was perfect and took me through a range of emotion.
Thank you. I see advice like this and just laugh. I’ll definitely tell my two year old that mommy is not taking care of him today because she needs some me-time. I’m sure it will go over great.
Whenever I see this kind of advice, I always assume it must have been written by someone with no kids (and probably single) and who is working a pretty low-level job. This is just simply not a realistic option for a lot of people.
Trump Tower is actually more expensive to protect than other presidential homes because of a) the location in a major city and b) there are hundreds of other people living in that building (maybe thousands?) and several thousand more in the immediate area of the building. That takes more manpower, more planning, etc.…
In fairness, it seems pretty clear that Mike Pence is going to be doing all the boring meetings and brief reading, etc. Trump is just in it for the graft and the rallies.
That’s gotta feel like Xmas morning for the tigers and lions! “Hey! Go wake up Tony and Sue -- we got another present from Sky Cat!!”
Clearly you should have deer-bunting attached around your car to protect the poor things.
Define “losing their minds”, please? Because I am a bleeding heart liberal who loves deer and feels sad about deer hunting/culling even though I understand why it is useful.
That “regulate them out of jobs” line was beautifully stupid, wasn’t it? Let’s just assume for the sake of argument that those regulations do kill some jobs. It’s not like dying from Black Lung at 50 automatically makes it a bad job, amirite?
Never mind. Wrong thread.
